Hey all. I finally wanted to get around to building a chaos list and love Black Legion from the books and fluff and wanted to build a fun/semi competitive list. Here it is.

So the list is to the point. Abaddon and sorc will drop with the termies and blast whatever they can and the plan is to use the stratagem that lets them shoot twice and get the re rolls from Abaddon. The chaos lord and marines will be my mobile objective taker and he’s just a small beat stick. I just kept him with a pistol for the mortal wound stratagem with bolt weapons. The marines will have 10 LD with the icon and I could use the stratagem that lets them re roll all hits when needed. The bikes will be flankers for dev squads or horde armies. The ranges support will be the fiends and brutes with the autocannons. I won’t really be movIng them unless I need to. Any tips or ideas are always welcome. Thanks!

looks fun/semi competitive to me. The only glaring weakness you have is your troops choices. BL loves to run hordes of cultists because abby makes them fearless. The one unit of marines in a rhino is an odd choice, but its not horrible by any means.

Thanks for the response! The CSM and really just there for fluff and a decent unit to roll with the Lord and to also outflank if need be with the bikes. The overall plan with the cult is to take some wounds and use the stratagem that lets them outflank and go back to full strength and be closer to Abaddon.

However I have been playing with the idea of dropping them and bringing 10 more cultists and bring a 6-7 man unit of chosen in the rhino with some Combi plasma. Or even 7 Noise marines with sonic blasters in the rhino with the lord.
