We have a 1k Tournament coming up at my LFGS soon and i'm thinking of moving away from my comfort zone of World Eaters or Emperors Children and running with some Death Guard (I got the models as they look awesome so why not!)

I have two lists but not sure which one to go with, or any changes to make. I don't have access to any PBC's, but do have access to DP's, cultists, more plague marines, terminators and anything else chaos wise.

So list one is:

This is list is focused around a smaller group of zombies to hold mid board, with two squads of plague marines to deal with issues. Two blight drones to grab objectives and deal with threats they can. Mainly relying on my toughness to weather most things.

Similar list to the above, but this one is obviously all about the zombies with typhus doing his thing, and the plaguecaster adding some more buffs as well. Plague marine squads are there to take out anything that's likely to be high wounds.

I'm really not used to semi static armies like Death Guard as usually i'm throwing bezerker squads at everything or drowning them in noise. My local meta is nids, 1ksons, more Death Guard, IG and Eldar. There maybe some smurfs as well.

Any help from you lovely lot will be appreciated.

While I'm not a tournament player, I'd seriously recommend the Putrescent Vitality power on Typhus if you do run him, so you can buff up poxwalkers to S and T 5, making them a nightmare to deal with.
I'd always go with a prince over a lord of corruption personally, just for the extra hurt and mobility, and you can keep pace with him with the bloat drones, but you'd have to drop something to find the space...

Hummm, yeah i see what you mean regarding the DP. I add the LoC as i thought keeping him near the zombies would work out better. I'll have a play with that list and see if i can squeeze him in. I guess it will also help with my lack of anti tank.
