Hello.

As practice for my Hive Tyrant, I've decided to magnatise my terminators but I am wondering if anyone can give me advice on how to magnetise the cyclone missile launcher - it only attaches to the model with two "legs" so there doesn't seem to be a suitable place to put the magnet without cutting them off.

Also should it on the same model that had the heavy weapons or should a separate terminator wield it?

How wide the legs are? You can get 1mm diameter magnets. Still too big? Being plastic 2 of those(one on each leg) ought to be enough especially as the missile launcher doesn't hang freely so full weight is on model.

I would probably put all magnets on same models where possible.

That was my first thought as terminator sprue has 6 front torsos, with one of those being for the cyclone missile launcher, but unfortunately it only comes with 5 backs which is where the cyclone missile launcher attachs.

I have some 3x0.5mm neo magnets - should be strong enough if I put them on both the arms and torso.

The legs are around 1mm so that could work if 1 can find some 1mm diameter magnets - I checked on ebay and the smallest I can find are 2x0.5mm.

Can you post a picture of the bottom of it? I haven't taken a look at one in awhile.

Edit: Nevermind, found a picture on ebay. I'd put a magnet between the legs and see how that works.
