As per the rules of the paint services thread, I am starting a showcase thread for my works. My name is Johnathan, I have been painting for over a year now, and will start with this year's work and update with commissions I hope to get. Here is my first model to showcase, my best work imo so far, a marine with missile launcher! The color scheme is custom for my homebrew chapter, the Death Lords of Dorn.

Some suggestions to help draw in clients and better showcase your work:

1) Invest in or build a light box to photograph your miniatures. Your photo is extremely dark, it is back lit, and obscures pretty much all of the detail and paint work on the figure. Well lit and clean photos are important for demonstrating your abilities.
2) It is hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like the colors are flat and could use some shading and depth.
3) Paint up some portfolio models in canon color schemes. The Death Lords of Dorn sound cool, but people will be able to gauge your skill better if they can see how you handle established colors schemes. Paint up an Ultramarine, or a Salamander, and or an Imperial Fist. Get a range of figures to show off so people can determine if your service is the right fit.
