Subject: Horus Heresy: Choosing a legion?

Can someone help me in choosing a legion for Horus Heresy? I've been looking at the legions for a while and just cannot decide, I mean out of a legion I love the chemical warfare of the Death Guard; the vicious assaults of the Sons of Horus; the outflanking tanks and cold genocidal anger of the Iron Hands; just the Alpha Legion in all but their colour scheme; the Imperial Fists for their stoicism and the future black templars; the World Eaters for their honour and almost hidden humanity; the Dark Angels for the Lion's lack of s**ttaking; the Night Lords for their worryingly familiar mentality and internal struggles; the Iron Warriors for their iron discipline and firepower; and finally the Raven Guard for being seemingly the closest to modern day special forces. All I can really say is HELP ME PLEASE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Which colour scheme would you enjoy painting the most?
Which gameplay style would you enjoy the most, if you have one?

If the only thing stopping you from starting Alpha Legion is their official colours, just paint them in camouflage.

I'm fond of several of them tbh however I do love the worn look of the DG, the green of the SoH and the metal of both the iron hands and iron warriors,
as to playstyles I don't know, I'm rather aggressive in playstyle pushing flanks and hoping to divert their attention from the real danger as I play. What would you suggest, I dunno why but the more official a colour scheme I can get the better, but of course any suggestions would be great :3

It might be worth having a look at the legion specific models (if applicable) to see if any sway you. It would almost certainly be worth casting an eye over each of the available Primarch models too.
Another point of consideration might be to do a bit of reading around each of the Primarchs as there may be elements there which sway you.

Well I guess especially if I can only settle on a slow and resistant one and a hard hitting flanking one XD

I'd take a deeper look into the lore of Legion. Most legions can perform most styles of list, a XII legion gunline won't be as effective as an Iron Warriors gunline, nor will it be hugely fluffy but it can still play that style.
Take a look into each legion lore and find which one inspires you most, Horus Heresy is all about recreating those epic battles and putting your favourite characters onto the table and bringing them to life.

Same as every army. You are going to spend a lot of money on them, and a lot of time painting them. Go for the models you like the most.
