Hey all - here's my take on Eldar Exodites, inspired by Nausicaa and that means lots of bugs!

Might have benefited a few straps/harness parts on the bugs to hold the weapons upon them - but really really neat idea!

Where the ohm (spelling?) custom made or a product that you found and made use off?

As someone who LOVES the movie, I got to say, you really nailed the style. Perhaps the colors are a bit too cold compared to the warmer tones of the movie, but, damn. The theme, the whole idea and realization...

I think some of the cold is the camera/whitebalance/colourcast from the photos.

As much as I am not a fan of non-dino ridin' Exodites, I have to say, these are AWESOME. And they make some sort of sense too, since not every Maiden world would have reptilian life-forms.

The Dark Reapers are disappointing in what is otherwise an interesting set of conversions and proxies.

However, I'm interested to see how the silhouettes and footprints correspond to the actual models, particularly with regard to the vehicles.

Thanks guys! I found the Ohmu on Ebay - the big ones are a kit made by Bandai and the smaller resin ones I bought out of China.

Lots of different bits here, I picked up a huge lot of Eldar, Dark Eldar and Harlequins from a guy so I don't know the specific name.

Phase Spider from Nolzur's Magnificent Miniatures, saddle is a DE helion flyer, pilot is DE scourge torso and reaver bits, insect-head is from Spellcrow, lance is a Dire Avenger exarch staff with wraithguard blade. Wings are from the Nurgle plague drones. Need to work on the paint job more and get more contrast in the pilots. They're Thousand Sons blue and really don't stand out enough. Fiddly too - all the lance arms broke off during my last game

This is such a great concept, does it slot right into 40K? not really but it's a great concept and executed well, extra cool internet points if you model lord Yupa and his amazing mustache at some point.

Worked on the wardroth beetle today - it's going to be a grav tank. Either a fire prism, falcon or maybe even another night spinner.

Delicious.

Love the idea - loved the movie and insects work better for me than dinos in some ways. That is great paint on that beetle too!

Yeah, I was farting around with an Autarch conversion but the arms just didn’t look right. I made two of them out of helion glider and Eldar heavy weapon platforms.
