Situation: I have a Sisters of battle outrider detachment and a Ravenguard Battalion. I want to take both The Shield Eternal and The Blade of Admonition in the same list. I make Celestine my Warlord which allows me to give my Canoness the Blade, but I can't AT THIS POINT give the space marine character a relic.

Can I then spend 1 CP to use the Space Marine Stratagem 'Relics of the Chapter' to give my space marine character the shield eternal?(I am allowed to use space marine stratagems due to having a space marine detachment)

Any source other than the wording? I also think this is how it works but haven't been able to find anything to back it up beyond the stratagem itself.

The Death Guard FAQ, I think, clarifies this for all factions.

Death Guard FAQ sets the precedent.
Q: If my army is led by a Chaos Space Marines Warlord, and I have a Detachment of Death Guard, can I use the Gifts of Decay Death Guard Stratagem to include a Relic on a Death Guard Character?
A: Yes. The only requirement to have access to Stratagems is that you have a Detachment of the appropriate Faction. If you have a Death Guard Detachment, you have access to their Stratagems

Ok, what if you have a third faction in a third detachment? Say for example, blood angels. Will the stratagem cost 1 CP for armory of baal? Or 3? The wording in each stratagem suggests it would only 1CP for each unique army relic acquired via stratagem.

Correct. They are different Strategums and follow their own write up.

So just to push the topic, assuming I have 3 codex factions with the extra stratagem, I could end up having 4 relics for 3cp: 1 from warlord (free), 1 from warlord faction extra relic stratagem (1cp), 1 from unique faction 1 extra relic relic stratagem (1cp), and 1 from unique faction 2 extra relic stratagem (1cp)?

Or a total 7 relics for 9cp, for 3 detachments, with maxed relic stratagems

High-jacking a threat, but similar question which I keep confusing myself on..!

If I have an Astra Militarum detachment, an Imperium detachment and an Imperium soup detachment, can I use the Astra Militarum stratagem to give a relic to an Astra Militarum character in the Imperium Soup detachment?

I believe yes, but I’m unsure, due to the Death Guard faq just talking about something slightly different.

In the example you gave, can the 'Shield Eternal' be taken twice? I understand that they're from different books, but are they the same item?

He's not trying to take it twice. He's taking two separate relics.

I'm confused? What is the difference between an Imperium detachment and an Imperium soup detachment? Aren't they both just detachments that the only unifying keyword between all units is Imperium?

One detachment is sponsored by Campbell's, the other missed out on the endorsement deal.
