1. Because the actual casting of a model or a kit costs next to nothing to
GW , Their costs are more tied up to the pre-production process. If they can get you to spend more money no matter how much plastic they throw at you
without losing the face of a premium miniatures manufacturer they win every time. Hence why the start collecting kits exist... It is mainly a hyperbole so don't get caught in it, but
GW can easily charge 40 quid for the gruntas and 41 for the start collecting kit and I bet it wouldn't even mean that much to them... There are many reasons why
GW prices are like that, but the shortest answer could be that they are priced so that each one is profitable and its audience will buy it.
2. No one knows. My bet is that they won't be updated or if they are only the black orks would benefit. Who knows though...
3. See 1.
4. Avatars of war comes to mind.
5. OK
6. The well known big online retailers - element and firestorm - offer up to 15% off RRP. You can watch for things on sale to get things at 25% off. Their inventory have been seriously cut down since, lets say, 2016 though (for some reason)... For US? Probably wayland - I don' know really...
