DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough. |

The battle report was made prior to the FAQ, so at that point it was still legal.

As a sidenote, sniper rifles rolling a 6+ to wound cause a mortal wound in addition to any other damage. Those mortal wound hits would have also generated another standard save as well. I noticed it looks like you caught it later, but the first round it was only causing a mortal wound and nothing else.
