Hi, I'm new to AoS and I'm putting lists together. What do you think?
GHB'17 doesn't give a points value for the Battalion Cavalcade of Excess. It if did, I would take this twice for the extra mobility/retreat and charge bonus.

I think next year we'll see this or something similar in a Slaanesh tome. Til then get another Herald (on a steed of course) and use 2 Cohorts. Then use the Slaanesh Allegiance that gives them an extra 1" too. The Keeper of Secrets was awesome when I tried it out vs a Tzeentch army.

I love the looks of a Slaanesh Daemon army, and I think with the extra allegiance and Cohort buffs they can actually be reasonably competitive. Kudos on amassing that many Daemonettes!

Thanks, its a work in progress right now. Yeh it would be great if they could produce some interesting new sculpts to coincide with the release of the new battletome, if that does go ahead.

Do players ever pay points for those battalion rules released with the Start Collecting kits?
I've not seen many , but I do I think this one's quite versatile, since one unit per battalion gains Skaven Clanrat hit n' run, or run n' hit abilities. Coupled with the unit speed and pile in buffs, they could be very punishing!

The Cohort Battalion is good for the all round +1" Movement and the possibility of healing wounds, something sorely needed with such a glass cannon faction.

I think the cohort of slaanesh is no longer viable. I've been told by local gw manager that there is a bug that allows the battalion to still be used despite it not being in the 2017 update which isn't listed as a battalion that can be used. I'm waiting to see if we get anything like that back cause I'd love +2" move daemonettes that can run and charge, along with +3" keeper of secrets for some nice 17" move and +2" charge.

It's in the app with points, so I would venture the Cohort is still useable, being an official GW product that I just updated a week or two ago. But I could see where some would say not. They really really need to rebirth Slaanesh already!

I meant to ask yesterday; how do you have gear on The Masque? She’s a unique model.

Probably by being new to AoS and not fully appreciating the rules. Thanks for pointing it out though. It would be nice to have the Masque in the mix to nerf enemy unit movement. However I could also save 20 points and take a herald on steed to keep the Artefact, though it would have a weaker save.
