The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
"the play's the thing wherein I'll catch the conscience of the king,
A pretty basic trailer but it does the job. Not really any hints at plot, but it appears all the stuff that elevated the first one beyond 'Generic Comic book Movie #11' is still there. Likeable leads, inventive action, witty script. Can't really go wrong. (though I do feel perhaps these trailers are too early, hopefully there's nothing more until after Infinity War as hopefully that'll see some big changes to the universe)
Kind of getting a Winter Soldier vibe from some of it, which is in no way a bad thing.

I want to know if Ant-man's possee of buddies is in this. I loved the guy who told really long sotries that started with an improbable set-up....
"I was meeting with my cousin Marsha at that new, high-end wine bar, the one on wall st. You know how much I love a good peruvian cabarnet sauvignon. Anyway....."
That guy was funny to me.
Also, any word on who the villain is? i saw a quick shot of them, but not enough to know who it was.

Pretty sure at least Michael Pena's character is back, not sure about the others. Lawrence Fishburne is also in as Bill Foster, AKA Goliath/the other Giant Man... I doubt they'll do much with that, though.
As for the villain, he's called Ghost, but I know nothing beyond that.
Knowing nothing about Ant-man going in to watching it for the first time I was genuinely entertained for the whole thing and it was for a while my undisputed favourite MCU film until Spider-man came along.
This looks it it pretty much just builds on the first, same team behind it, director so on I think. Can't wait.
“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”
Looks like it could be fun. I'd still rather prefer Wasp proper, but I'll take what I can get.
Ghost is an old Iron Man villain that, like most Iron Man villains was never quite interesting enough to break into the mainstream. Basically a guy with a tech suit that allows phasing (probably using Pym-tech to seperate molecules in the movie); he's gotten pretty good mileage in the last decade as an infiltration specialist villain with a bit of a Psycho Mantis look. Excited for the new version, as he's one of those characters that has a ton of potential, but hasn't ever really gotten a modern revamp to live up to it.

I don't think she'll make him irrelevant. She might get the lion's share of the fight scenes, but Scott is such a great character that he doesn't even need to be doing much to be very entertaining. The two of them bounce off each other incredibly well, so the dialogue will still keep him front and centre even if the fight scenes go largely to Wasp.
Though Scott is no slouch at this point, he did well for himself in the airport battle in CW... He knows what he can do and how best to use that, even if he lacks the rigorous fight training Hope has.

I had never even heard of Ant-man before the MCU and it was briefly my favourite film before Homecoming, so I'm really excited for this...

Enjoyed the first one - it was not as good as the Avengers or the first Iron Man but its on a par with Guardians so decent.

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001
I think it looks awesome and can't wait. Pleasantly surprised by this and the first one. They took a concept that wasn't all that interesting to me and made it one of the more fun and unpredictable ones.
Its amazing with Antman, Dr Strange, and Black Panther, that they have made some really great movies with B class characters. And Marvel still has 1000s of characters to explore.
Good times ahead.

My first thought was the character was Taskmaster, then I saw the mask wasn't actually a skull.
"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

I'd love for Taskmaster to show up in the MCU, but on the other hand, maybe its best he doesn't. He'd probably just get the Crossbones or Baron Strucker treatment. There for 5 minutes then killed off.

Now that spiderman introduced the back end super crime with vulture and the tinkerer. Maybe there is room for task master training criminal mooks.
These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

That would be nice, think they'd go with the former Shield Agent narrative or the original?
Taskmaster is kind of cool. Haven’t read a lot of him in the comics, only two stories I can recall. He was kind of a side/background almost comic relief in the Hydra Cap story. Him and (iirc) Black Ant were entertaining in that. The other one that springs to mind was Spidermen 2, where he was portrayed as Extremely high end.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleyways and mugs them for loose grammar.

Spoiler:
Wait, Taskmaster was in Spiderman 2? I missed that. Although, I did hate those movies so I blocked them out of my mind. Toby is a Peter, but not my Peter. #notmypeter
My favorite bit of Taskmaster was when he was one of the instructors at Avengers Academy. I would probably pay decent money to see the Butterball issue made into a show or something.
Much better than the first imo. The cast was all great. I was legit laughing at many parts of the movie. The villains were compelling with good motivations. It didn't feel like a rehash of a previous Marvel movie with a new skin.
