Played a game yesteday with my custodes at 1.500 points vs Imperial Guard + Militarum Tempestus (2 batallions)
Mission: Relic

My list was:

- Shield Captain on bike (hurricane, misericordia), Victor of blood games, Superior creation
- Shield Captain in Allarus (axe)
- 3x 3x Custodian guard (1 shield 2 spears)
- 3 Allarus (axe)
- 5 jetbikes (hurricane)

His list was 3 groups of imperial guard, 2 leman russ, some ratlings, and on the other hand 4 groups of militarum tempestus deepstricking with lots of melta/plasma and and a taurox prime with a unit inside, with 2hq for each batallion

Turn 1:
I started and moved toward the relic (deployed my 3 custodian squads near it), kiling his ratlings by shooting.

Deepstriked allarus sc and the unit of allarus in front of his lines, killed a bunch of guards

Moved with the jetbikes, shooted off the table one of his group of imperial guard.

On his first turn he deepstriked everything, I used the Stratagem that allowed me to shoot 1 of his arriving units, killing 2 melta guys.

With all of his shooting, he only was able to kill 2 custodians from 1 squad, 1 custodian from the other, and the 3 allarus terminator.

Rest of the game, custodian shooted/charged his little squads, dying in the process but allowing me to kill everything i wanted with my jetbikes every turn.

On turn 5 I reached the relic with my Allarus HQ, but Ii had killed al his models anyway.

My jetbike warlord had victor of the blood games, but i dont know if it was a good investment because he did not focus him.

If he had seized me the initiative i would have lost.

Anyway Custodes are a fun army and I thought I would get screwed but they are very hard to kill.
