I'm looking to add an AD Dark Mechanicus faction to my WE focussing on shooting to buff my assault army. I have chosen Scoria as my HQ, any ideas?

A Magos Dominus, some Darkfire castellax and some thralls would make a fine anti-tank addition as an allied detatchment.
The thralls fill the compulsory troops choice and can hold objectives, the magos can heal the castellax and the castellax fry vehicles.

Alternatively, consider a legion praevian consul, and buy them some darkfire castellax to do the same job for less.

I wouldnt take Scoria as an ally, simply because he hits 400pts fully kitted out with the Homonculus.
Sure he can man fight everything in the game, but he quickly becomes the main attraction rather than the support piece.

Thanks, I agree Scoria is pricey for small point games. I will most Likely bring a forge Lord and one to two Castellax for smaller games. I love the idea of Thallax as troop choices with jump packs and de jinn sight to prevent infiltrators from getting too close. I am not even sure if I would run Scoria with Castellax maybe a lone Thanatar.

When I started Mechanicum I used primarialy thallax with plasma fusils, and a jet pack lord with dual fusils as well hopping along with em
