Is there any plastic sisters of battle available to buy? I can only find old and expensive metal. I wanted to get my gf a box but she only wants new/plastic.

Oh boy, you said the magic words!
No, the only plastic sisters are the Celestine Kit, and the Virydian model.

Celestine, the Living Saint (and the Geminae Superia) are plastic. Canoness Veridyan is resin. The rest of the range is metal. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, the Immolator is a fully plastic kit.

Thanks guys. That is 3 more than I found searching the games workshop site myself.
It's a shame you can get characters but no actual tactical/basic units yet.
Do you think these will come with the basic stats and rules too?

So, yea.
Basically, your only options are to get from alternate companies things that are just sorta-like, or make some HEAVY conversions.
If you take the conversions path, the best I found is to get kabalite warrior female bodies and mash them with space marine backpacks and weapons (and bits like purity seals and whatnot)
But its a LOT of work fitting the pieces, and clearing off spikes, hooks and the likes.

Celestine should include the rules as it's newly re-boxed. Not sure about the others.

Yea....people have been saying THAT for a decade now.
So unless you got some sort of hard evidence, I'd ignore this assumption.

But yeah, sadly Celestine is the only thing really available other than the plastic immolator as noted above. The rest are all ancient, expensive metal models that GW, for whatever reason, doesn't seem keen on replacing...well, ever. But they sure do love cracking jokes about it at the expense of their fans in some of the videos they've been putting out recently.

Hope is the first step on the road to dissapointment.
Plastic SoB is one of the most asked things of GW and "plastic SoB" rumors are a thing that have floated around for a long time and at this point is one of the "reset the clock" memes every time plastic SoB get mentioned. SoB were first released back in......1997 and rumors for plastic SoB have been around for almost as long.
Many people hope for Plastic SoB and a big reason why a lot of people will say "I'd buy SoB if they were in plastic" because the Metals are just about 2x the cost compared to most every other army that has mostly plastic. The cost is a big reason why almost no one buys SoB off the GW webstore and anyone buying sisters are doing so on 3rd party selling sights like Ebay (that's where I got most of my sisters) because overall you can usually get them cheaper through 3rd party sites.
BoomWolf wrote:

Yeah heard that too many times over the years waiting for plastic SoB, so unless we get an official announcement from GW its self I have Zero faith in any rumors that come out until then. Even if the rumor turned out to be true.

GW still seem very committed to the sisters of battle. They have them in books, games, and other merc. It's only a matter of time as they are incredibly popular.

The funniest thing to me is that they're also 2x as expensive compared to other armies THAT ARE METAL. I was buying Vostroyan guard a while back, and I went in thinking they were Sisters of Battle priced but they're 40$ for 10 metal figures!
I guess the "pink tax" you get on razorblades and deodorant also applies to miniatures.

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

There is one more plastic Sisters models, the Immolator.
That being said, I think the best conversions for plastic sisters I have ever seen (and even not to pricey, money wise) are Dreamcast infantry figures converted with female heads, bolters, and Space Marine backpacks.

Does anybody know where I can get the Sisters Of Battle rules/codex? I might go for their version of a devastator squad but I am not sure if it is allowed as I am having to buy units individually.

They use Index Imperium 2 for now, but the unit you seek is called the "Retributors" and they can get 4 of any heavy weapon, like Space Marine devastators (though the Sororitas weapon list is tiny; i.e. heavy flamers, multi-meltas, and heavy bolters).

Thank you. That was exactly what I was looking at. I was thinking two heavy bolters, a multi melta and a flamer. Maybe a Sister Superior.

The way I would go, because I like consistency in my units (which is no longer required in 8th of course) is Four Heavy Bolters with a Sister Superior with a storm bolter. Lots of dakka dakka!

It looks like Denmark can get a retributor squad. But not the UK. Annoying.

Yep - there is some new BL stuff coming out for them as well including an audio drama.
There are some very good non GW Sisters out there until GW can be bothered.

I bought three squads as test and very happy with the service and they even came in packets with a wax seal which was fun.
I don't think they have done heavy weapons - will have to have a look.

I think they should do sisters there's no technical reasons they cant, clearly there's demand if people are still talking about them after 20 years of mistreatment.
But will they no one knows.
