So after reading the new custodes codex we have confirmation that Valdor survived the heresy, dissapearing shortly after it.

His weapon and armour aren't in the vaults on terra where they would be if he'd passed on his rank as normal. So the question is where could he be? Do people think he is acting as eyes of the emperor as the codex suggests older custodians do, or is he still fighting chaos at the spry old age of 10,000? Or is he just dead.

Do you guys think he'll be coming back at some point in the 41st millennium?

Probably. Seems to fit GW's new direction of old people coming back even though that's a complete reversal of the setting.

Just a thought popped into my head that Tranzyn has in his collection a 'giant in golden armour' most think that it might be Dorn but perhaps its Valdor instead?
