Hi guys.

I am making some life size bolters. This time I have been commissioned for an Alpha Legion one. Here I show you some pics.

So, now I have to pack and send it, but I want to add a "proof of purchase", let me explain...

I have been ordered for a Dark Angel Bolter and an Imperial guard, and I would like to include a lethany similar to "The Adeptus Mechanicum hereby declare that this is a genuine ...... " and some some seals and other stuff..

So... Can you help me with this? What letter could I add to the bolter ? I need one for the "imperial" and other for the chaotic one...

Thanks guys and I hope you like these bolters

Those look amazing man. Though I can't answer your question.

Get some red sealing wax and parchment for imperial guns and put a warning on it that if the person loses his weapon he will have to reimburse the imperium the cost of said weapon.

Instead of parchment you could use regular paper and put it in the oven to age it a bit. I'm sure that you can find out the specifics of how on Youtube or some such.

A purity seal for a space marine bolter might look amazing.

I agree on the Purity Seal (A Litany of Authentication), but you might want to use something like painted caulk sealant or somesuch instead of wax. If you have any metal in the bolter design, you could incorporate a magnet into the seal so it can be attached (or removed) for display.

"Let it be known by this seal that this bolter's construction was authorized by the Fabricator General of <FORGEWORLD/COMPANY> on M39.2018.02.15-A2

"Let us recite the Litany of Ownership:

"There are many Bolters
Many look alike
But this one is mine
My bolter is my best friend
It is my life
I must master it as I must master my life.
My bolter, without me, is useless.
Without my bolter, I am useless.
I must fire my bolter true.
I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me.
I must shoot him before he shoots me.
And I will."

I demand pictures of these wonderful items with your hand near it so I can get a better idea of their sizes!

To me the Chaos Space Marines needed to be characterised as a threat reaching back to the Imperium's past, a threat which had refused to lie down and become part of history. This is in part why the gods of Chaos are less pivotal in Codex Chaos; we felt that the motivations of Chaos Space Marines should remain their own, no matter how debased and vile. Though the corrupted Space Marines of the Traitor Legions make excellent champions for the gods of Chaos, they are not pawns and have their own agendas of vengeance, empire-building vindication or arcane study which gives them purpose.

I'm with the Purity Seal guys.

I don't have any input on your question, but these are incredibly cool.

You can make "parchment" by taking some nice thick plain white paper, burn the edges with a lighter and then crumple it up into a ball several times. Then lay it flat on a piece of wax paper in a cookie tray. Make some tea. Drink it and relax. NOW BACK TO WORK YOU HIVE WORLD SCUM!!! Take your used tea bag and gently blot it onto your paper so that the paper soaks up the excess water and gets a nice old person skin look. Then, let this dry and finish your tea.

Once dried you will have a suitably aged looking bit of paper that will work wonders for purity seals or treasure maps or hoaxing antique store owners.

For durability I would first glue two or three sheets of paper together or alternatively you could try hitting it with a spray varnish after the work is completed.

Also, maybe do your writing on the paper beforehand so the writing gets aged as well...

Are you making money of this? Has the person who bought this made the gun and you are painting it? Other wise, you better be careful. You can get sued by GW for making and selling IP without their permission.

It's one thing for being commissioned for painting, it's another I believe to make a product that has someone's else's IP and not have their approval for doing so.

It's one thing to make it yourself, but it's another to sell it. I would delete this thread. Not sure if Dakka could be subpoenaed to give your email and IP so GW can come after you.

I could be totally wrong here and if so, I would be glad to be. BEAUTIFUL job you have done, hate to see anything happen to you. Hopefully GW have stopped going after small fish, but you just never know.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
