I have a decent Militarum Tempestus Collection laying around and been tempted on getting custodes. I was wondering how the Tempestus flexibilty with the custodes Resilence would mix

Vexillus Praetor [6 PL, 122pts]:Guardian Spear, Vexillia Magnifica

To achieve this comp I would only need to buy 2xCustodian Guard Squads and 1xBike one which is something I rather like. The idea is to use the Taurox as anti-tank platforms, deep strike the Scions to deliver a punch/capture stray objectives then use the custodes to finish them off. However I am not entirely sure if I should blob my Custodian Guard around the Praetor and then advance against the enemy position or split them up and use them to hold the objectives on my side of the table.

I think you could remove one of the Custodian Captains, use the points elsewhere to bolster the units a bit. I'd give all the Custodes the Storm Shields, make them last longer. Also, grab yourself a Relic or two, if your Tempestus Captains are Deep Striking in, take the one allowing you to redeploy to him if he's assaulted.

Oh yeah, I forgot the relic. I would take the Auric Aquilla's one, the one you mentioned only works on Terminator Custodes iirc and I don't plan to get those

I probably wouldn't bother going for a Battalion of the Custodes. You 'waste' a ton of points on 9 guys walking across the table. I'd focus on making the Custodes as in your face as possible to distract from the Guard and do as much damage as possible

I mostly did this to have plenty CP as Custodes seem a very CP hungry army and to have something resilient holding the backfield since basic custodes don't have deep strike but with stormshield are incredibly resilient.

You can use a strategem to "deepstrike" the Custodes troop units.

Oh, I don't have this list yet. It's a plan I have that I wanted to validate through dakka, as I have a VERY limited budget and want to be 100% sure what I buy is viable, at least semi-competitive and will not end up just sitting on the shelf, so I am still on the probing and read phase. Also been considering a similar list but with a vanguard detachment and not take any Custodes guards but take Allarus and Wardens in a Landraider with the Vexilia instead.
