Like quintillions of other GW fans I was outraged, OUTRAGED by the recent so-called Necromunda poster that was obviously prepared by someone who had no knowledge of the rich lore of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 AD universe and its Necromunda sub-setting.
In fact I would venture to guess this was NOT prepared by Games Workshop's staff but in fact by some Fallout player who then hacked GW's servers and inserted this travesty in an effort to discredit them, never realizing that sharp-eyed fans would soon detect and foil his plot.
"Something is wrong on the INTERNET" I ejaculated loudly and sprang into action.
I hope this effort will go some way towards stemming the tide of outrage the previous image triggered.

The news thread has a page of two of whinging that it did not fit the atmosphere of the 40k universe.
Knowing how delicate personalities can be triggered I did my level best to correct matters.

The original does look a lot more like a Fallout poster than a 40k poster.

With the size of the 40k setting and the Imperium, I'm sure there are a few worlds where the first poster would fit right in. Necromunda isn't one of those though.

And you know that how exactly?
This is same guy who did lots of art for the Regimental Standard. Using same type of humor, too. Funny how no one is outraged RS doesn't fit the setting but ad using same style is suddenly the worst thing ever...

So does this.
Or this.
And especially this.
Or maybe, just maybe, both draw inspiration from 50s art style and complaining people should familiarize themselves with a great art from period they apparently missed instead of compare everything to a single source inspired by it they are familiar with?

Does people not know Gang War 2 armoury have a Stub Gun without 'Pistol' Weapon Trait, and they get annoyed by a poster?
They could have copied a Fallout poster without modifications and I wouldn't care.

It was available at the Specialist Games Open Day a few weeks ago.
