The old Mesopotamia collection grows and grows.

This time it's a Battalion of Highlanders, it took some doing mind, finding the figures, I had to search far and wide to get, HQ, Infantry and MG. Thanks to Minifigs (yes, that Minifigs), Empress and Great War Miniatures the project was completed.

Links on the blog to the figures as well as the book "With a Highland Regiment in Mesopotamia" which inspired the unit. The book is available free on Project Gutenberg due to its age so get clicking. I love learning new stuff and this book is full of personal experiences of the author.

Every day is a school day with Yarkshire Gamer !

Most inspiring as usual Ken. I do love a great 'character' figure and there are a couple of great ones there, the stretcher bearer and the bagpiper.

What does the the long grass scenery in the foreground represent in game? Shrubbery or soft sand or do you decide on the day?

I must say, that MG team looks much more higher quality than anything I've seen with Bolt Action.
Could be just the style of design, but I really like it

Your painting and scenery is very nice too btw
