So I got a secondhand Nephilim Jetfighter. It was primered/paint matte black from head to tail. That's not bad, given the paint scheme I want to try, but the cockpit's clear plastic is now solid black. I tried using some nail polish remover on the cockpit, but it barely had an effect. I really want to restore the clear plastic. Any advice on how I could achieve that?

Get the cockpit off of the model first. Dunk it in Superclean overnight. Then brush with an old toothbrush. If there are any scratches or blemishes, dip it in Future.

It might be easier to just break off the canopy and get a replacement on ebay.
