so...I've got somewhere in the region of 300-400 ork boyz/nobz/etc, in various stages of completion, and currently, they all have 25mm bases...I think they would all fit, and generally look, much better on 32mm's...but, buying that many 32mm bases is quite an investment, and I've just spotted some 32mm, 2mm-thick, black silicone, adhesive-backed anti-skid pad things on ebay
...they're the right size and shape, and they're a small fraction of the price (AU$11.79 for 100, vs
GW's AU$60 for 100) of "proper" bases, so they're awfully tempting in that regard...but...being silicone instead of plastic, I'm a bit concerned about whether the models/basing material (most likely just some texture paint, maybe a bit of cork/plastic bits here and there) would be able to stick to them properly
what do you lot think? anyone tried using those things as bases before?...any chance they'd work properly?...or would everything just peel off them if you so much as look at them funny?
