A question regarding the Custodes Vexilla ability. Does the Vexilus Praetor carry the Vexilla instead or along with one of the weapon options listed on the datasheet?

The model can be assembled to carry the Vexilla in one hand and a storm shiled in the other, which leaves no room for weapon options, save for a Misericordia, if we stick to wysiwyg. However, the datasheet does not explicitly state that the Vexilus Praetor replaces its weapon with the Vexila.

It carries one weapon from the list of options plus the Vexilla. You could always convert if you didn't want the Storm Shield.

If you buy the Wardens kit, it comes with a left handed weapon option with the Vexilla.

Or you can trim one of the hands off a two-handed guardian spear. Dude on the Canhammer youtube channel did it and it looked fine. Search canhammer for recent vids on building custodes.

I rather gear mine with the axe+vexella over the shield. Can put the misericorda in one hand, and claim he whacks people with the vexella as the axe.

For loadouts for the Vexilla, you can either take a Guardian spear or axe with the banner, swapping the polearm with a miserocodia or storm shied?

For the termi version, you get the grenade launcher instead, allowing it to be swapped out for a miserocodia, which you can take two (yea... pretty funny to think about)

Is this from a non-English codex? Because thats not what mine says.

Power armor has a spear, axe or shield. It can replace this with a Misericordia or get a Misericordia in addition to the spear, axe or shield.
The Terminator version has the grenade launcher and can take a Misericordia, it can't swap.

whoops.... seems you just get the launcher as standard and can get a misericordia. My bad

as for the storm shield part, i didn't have the codex with me at the time so I had a question mark on the storm shield. I knew the model can take one, just forgot if it replaced the spear/axe
