It’s what I had... plus, I wanted to split the army up into a couple of detachments so that I could get the extra CP. otherwise, I could put it all into a Batallion Detachment (except for the Shadowsword).

Surely you could just say the tempestors are company commanders or convert them somewhat. They cant do anything in this list. The chimera isn't doing much for you either in this list. There's nothing of great interest to need a transport. Don't you usually get the temestor primes in packs with a scion command squad? If you took two melta command squads they'd go in the chimera nicely with a prime. A taurox prime could arguably be better for this but you've got a chimera so...

For Russ turrets I pretty much just look at battle cannons, demolishers and punishers. Punisher for infantry, demo for vehicles and battle cannon for flexibility. If you've got a way to remove/reduce the chance of ones (orders, stationary cadians, vostroyan strategem) then change battle cannons for executioner's. Theyre good if you can constantly overcharge them. For a russ spearhead, 2 demo tank commanders, regular executioner and 2 punishers is good. Lascannon hulls on the commanders, bolters on the regulars. Sponsons optional.

Not sure which baneblade you have. Youve mentioned stormsword and shadowsword. Shadowswords good, stormsword not.

Infantry squads don't need the voxes. If you dropped one squad and some sponsons you could probably afford the two melta scion command squads

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush
