I have been out of the loop a bit. I need to ask what this March FAQ is I keep seeing the title for the Astra Militarium thread? Is it like the Chapter Approved we just got in what November or so? Will this just be adjustments or will it be Errata and FAQs with point adjustments for everyone online only or will it be in print and we need to buy it?

I haven't played yet because of a few reasons, but am hoping to start playing in the next couple of months. So I would like to know what I need to keep out for when it comes to gaming instead of just collecting.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

They say it will be rules updates and loooots of questions answered. Some users on here claim it won't have point changes. Some users say it will.

Honestly this is the first time they will release it, so it could have literally anything in it at this point.

It should be free.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Silly question but...

March 1st? March 31st?
March at some point but it's a surprise?

March but we only meant roughly March so it could just as easily be in July?

My guess would before the Tau codex, or on the 31st which is 2 weeks after its release cause they said they release erratas 2 weeks after codexes

It will have points. Multimeltas will be 27 points.

That's my prediction anyway.

Yes and Bloodthirsters and Blood Crushers will go down in points. And so will Chaos Spawn.

Well, the MM is already 27 in the TS book. I can only imagine they'll extend that out.

Am I missing something? Multimeltas are already 27 points, at least in the Marine codex.

Are they? I thought they were still 34. Chalk up another vote for GW to make points public. I'm having a hard time keeping track of all the changes.

Indeed. As they are in DG, CSM and DA. (assuming BA is also the same)

I thought they might have been 34 in the index's and checked and they are listed as 27 for both Imperium (No. 1) and Chaos index's.

Praise where praise is due, chapter approved had some good stuff in it worthy of praise, the points changes however were terrible and nonsensical at times, so no praise there.

If it's decent questions asked and answered, good points changes rather than a dart at a dart board... in the dark, I will give it praise.

Id much rather JUST rules and no points. Lets see how the new rules effect models before buffing/nerfing things.

Uh. I'm quite happy with the point changes to my Space Marines, what's wrong with the point changes otherwise? And let's leave the Titans out because that's just their way of telling us Titans aren't meant to be a viable choice in Matched Play.

I wonder if they'll finally get around to making Assault weapons actually function RAW?

I'd rather have them fix actual issues instead of things where it's obvious how it's supposed to work.

I agree, this is just wilfully ignoring rules. If you played magic, you would realize this. But since you're being a nob about it I'll break it down.
In magic there are cards with the keyword "sorcery" which can only be played on your turn, some cards let you get around this. "But gosh in the rules it says I never can use a sorcery on my opponents turn even though this card says I can! It's useless!" This would end up making a lot of cards useless. Actually the game would not work...

If you genuinely think this is an issue I would never play with you. Assault weapons supersede this, yes GW doesn't write the rules with logic like a lawyer and frankly I don't want them to either.

FW changes were nonsensical, lack of any meaningful changes to several armies, lack of meaningful points changes to a lot of armies, some too little, some not enough, all around bad changes on the whole.
