320 Drazhoath the Ashen
100 Infernal Standard Bearer
100 Daemonsmith

100 10x Fireglaives
100 10x Fireglaives

120 Deathshrieker Rocket Launcher
160 Dreadquake Mortar

Is it silly to want Fireglaives as Battleliners? Ironsworn are good but seems like shooty is good as they could do damage in two phases of the game (and Dwarves are slowpokes).

I like Drazhoath for a big scary unit, and he can actually dish out some pain and take some hits. Or should I bash together an Iron Daemon and Skullcracker instead?

I'm not an expert at all, but I'm planning to use Fireglaives as battleline mostly. I'm getting few Ironsworn too to screen them a little.

For longer term expansion a bigger blob of 30 Ironsworn looked like a good choice because of the relatively(?) large discount.

Yeah, I figure if we can use shooty Battleliners, might as well.

In bigger games I would definitely have the block of Ironsworn, along with a Castellan, maybe even 2 of them as they are pretty easy to snipe out, but their Command Ability is really good, and with a Darkforged Great Weapon they can hit back a little.

I'm thinking a Blackshard Warhost would be actually a really good Battalion, and it would fit into a Vanguard size army. I won't get that done in time for Adepticon though.

My buddy finds the Dreadquake mortar too unreliable for it's points, especially at smaller point games. I'd be inclined to go with a magma cannon if you can fit it in.

Drazhoath is pretty important, if only for mobility if you don't have any Renders or speedy allies.

I think your friend is right. At least the magma cannon causes straight up mortal wounds, and 24" range with a Daemonsmith around is decent. A little cheaper points too. Alas, I don't have good bits to bash one together yet. Hopefully bits trading at Adepticon proves fruitful and cost effective!

I'm super bummed I missed out on an auction for 9 Centaur guys. Went for $90 for 9! The old classic ones too. With the Renders, I was thinking great weapons for the Rend-2....but the Azgorhs don't have much in the way of hit improvements so perhaps the double axes at Rend -1 rerolling 1s to hit is better?
