Hi!

I hope someone can help me value my old warhammer 40k/LOTR miniatures these are 10+ years old as I got these when I was younger and also said I would start building my army again and paint it up. As I grew up I had less time, baby, job etc and it's sort of been put to the back burner. I have a a few figures which are unopened in there box;

These parts are 10+ Years old, I cannot guarantee for the opened parts that everything needed to perform a complete build (Where i say requires arm atttached, there is an arm there to attach)

** Unless specfically stated the models have not been painted, but may have a light coating of black on them **

Unopened with Shrink Wrap / Plastic Cover

1 X Chaos Space Marines Megaforce box set
3 x Chaos Oblitarors
1 x Chaos Space Mariner Lord
1 x Greater Daemon of Khorne
1 X Chaos Space Mariner Raptor box set
1 x Chaos Space mariners Predator
7 x Bloodletters of Khorne - Boxs have been opened but never built

1x Games Workshop Static Grass
1x Games Workshop Modelling Sand

Offical Games Workshop army carry case
34 x Built Chaos Space Marines / Khorne Berskers - A handful painted the rest based in chaos black
6 x Built Terminators / 1 needs arm attached
1 x Daemon Prince
1 x Built Chaos Sorceor (I believe)
1 X Built Chaos Space Mariner Lord / Terminator Captain? (Requires 1 arm attached)
1 x Chaos Space Marine Lord or could be a special character no idea - Requires arm attached
1 x Khorne Flag bearer - needs built
1 x Built Rhino (It may be another veichle but looks like Rhino to me)
1 x Built and Terribly painted Space Mariner Dreadnaught (Could be stripped and rebranded as CSM)
13 x Build Space Mariners, most badly painted but a few unpainted with white base coat

Parts on spoke, I would say atleast 10-20 Marines can be built.
Old Warhammer 40k Rule book.

Games Workshop Lord of the Rings Models 40+ Figures (Less organised and some paints) ;

Multiple Urikai
Some main charcters, sauraman, lurtz goblin captains
Warg Riders
Flag bearers

Cheers,

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Could we get some pictures? It'd make it easier to judge value based on condition and edition of the model.

Not the greatest pics, as i took them earlier if you need more specifics let me know. Really appreciate the response.

Note that's not my image of the DP, but that's the model of the Daemon Prince - I use to love him when I was younger!

This is from a purely gaming sence, don't know what they're worth to collectors:

1 X Chaos Space Marines Megaforce box set ~£200
3 x Chaos Oblitarors ~£30
1 x Chaos Space Mariner Lord ~£10
1 x Greater Daemon of Khorne ~£20
1 X Chaos Space Mariner Raptor box set ~£20
1 x Chaos Space mariners Predator ~£30
7 x Bloodletters of Khorne - Boxs have been opened but never built ~£10

1x Games Workshop Static Grass ~£7
1x Games Workshop Modelling Sand ~£7

Offical Games Workshop army carry case ~£20
34 x Built Chaos Space Marines / Khorne Berskers - A handful painted the rest based in chaos black ~£20-30 Depending on how the buyer felt about not being able to customize the models
6 x Built Terminators / 1 needs arm attached ~£10 These are out of date models now and don't really fit in given how small they are
1 x Daemon Prince ~£20
1 x Built Chaos Sorceor (I believe) ~£10
1 X Built Chaos Space Mariner Lord / Terminator Captain? (Requires 1 arm attached) ~£10
1 x Chaos Space Marine Lord or could be a special character no idea - Requires arm attached ~£10
1 x Khorne Flag bearer - needs built ~£1
1 x Built Rhino (It may be another veichle but looks like Rhino to me) ~£20
1 x Built and Terribly painted Space Mariner Dreadnaught (Could be stripped and rebranded as CSM) ~£25
13 x Build Space Mariners, most badly painted but a few unpainted with white base coat ~£10

Parts on spoke, I would say atleast 10-20 Marines can be built. ~£10
Old Warhammer 40k Rule book. ~£0

So you could get ~£500 IF you sold separately and can find the perfect buyers, however if you sell in bulk people will generally want a discount and if you can't find a buyer who likes retro models then the price will drop massively.

My suggestion would be to sell the models still in their original, unopened box separately and sell the rest in bulk in the case.

Completely agree with this suggestion. There is an active community of vintage model collectors who will love those unopened models.

It can be, open a thread on the swap shop board and people will pm you if they like your stuff.

In case you wanted a second opinion, I think Mr Happy Face's assessments are pretty much spot on, but perhaps a little over in the case of the Chaos Predator and the Oblitorators, by about £5.

The suggestion to sell unopened boxes seperately and the rest as a solid job lot is also very sensible.

I know this sounds harsh and like we're fobbing you off, but these are worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them.

Search completed eBay listings for similar products to get a good idea, but asking how much something is worth on a wargaming forum is like pissing into the wind.

Again, depends on the buyer; I know people who prefer the old rhinos and predators and would pay more for them and I know people who prefer metal Oblits to the resin ones (because who prefers resin?).

Thanks all, I've created a forum thread in the shop. I might consider buying a pre-owned army, I don't have the time to build but i enjoy watching vids on youtube of people playing and use to enjoy my days chucking the dice!
