Hey everyone,

I just have a few questions about the Dreadnought mentioned above.
1. As far as I can see the cyclonic Melta Lance is only available for the relic (imperium) Dreadnought. Is this correct?
2. The kit comes with two volkite calivers. Am I able to replace the torso mounted flamers with these?
3. The kit also comes with a phosphex discharged on top. Am I able to use this?

I am mostly confused about all of these because I do not own the index and am trying to figure out these answers from looking at BattleScribe. Any insight you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

1. It's not an option. You get to choose between a siege claw, siege drill, butcher cannon array, grav-flux bombard, or soulburner ribauldkin for each arm. Those melee weapons come with meltaguns.

2. Nope, the Hellflamers can't be replaced in 40k.

3. Again, not a wargear option in 40k. I'd look into magnetizing these options if you want to bring it for 30k.

So basically all those extra weapons are only there for the relic or 30k? I already have the phosphex launcher attached, but I think it looks cool so I’ll just leave it there

Also, do you know what the soulburner ribaudkin looks like? I’ve been having trouble finding photos of it

Relic can't take them either. They're just 30k options.

As for the Soulburner - no idea! I spent 5 minutes trying to figure that out myself once I realized I had no fething idea what a Soulburner Ribaudkin was.

The Forge World Chaos Decimator has a Soulburner Petard (similar idea). Just a big mortal-wound dealing barrel, basically.

I'd assume sans-spikes, this is what your Ribaudkin would resemble:

So what a Ribaudkin actually is, per Wikipedia:

A Ribauldequin, also known as a rabauld, ribault, ribaudkin, infernal machine or organ gun, was a late medieval volley gun with many small-caliber iron barrels set up parallel on a platform, in use during the 14th and 15th centuries. When the gun was fired in a volley, it created a shower of iron shot. They were employed, specifically, during the early fifteenth century, and continued serving, mostly, as an anti-personnel gun. The name organ gun comes from the resemblance of the multiple barrels to a pipe organ.

So I'm picturing some assault cannon looking thing with a bunch of barrels. I think I'd just use the cyclonic melta to represent that, since it's got those rotating barrels. But I have no idea if FW intended something else.

A petard is an explosive, so I think that ought to look pretty different.

The melta bit is perfect for the ribaudkin. It's a multi barreled gun, just add some spikes on it. Though I wouldn't suggest it on a leviathan. Tactically, Decimators are the best for soulburners.
