Hi there,
have you seen the series ? I think it is a pretty solid one, with a good scenario, complex and credible/believable characters and a interesting universe (looks a lot like MASS EFFECT before the First Contact, to me).
Plus, the third season will soon be available !

I really like the Martian republic, the war we see coming during the two first seasons and the universe globally.

Its very excellent. I am looking forward to the third season (it has been officially greenlighted). different than the usual space opera.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

The third season is more than "greenlighted", it airs April 11th.

I wasn't into the first season so much, it was OK but maybe a little slow for my tastes.. but for me the 2nd season got way better. Really looking forward to the 3rd now.

yep, that's a ace show, I really like the space battle in S1E4 I believe; S2 got way more intrigue, remind me of a certain 40k race.

I absolutely loved the show and binged S1 and S2 in a few weeks having only found it late last year thanks to a guy I was chatting to at a wargames tournament.

It has a really pleasant gritty style, dare I say realistic too. The factions are interesting and the political aspect makes for a really cool second string alongside the central crews story.

Stoked for S3!

I watched the first episode back in late 2015 and was hooked.

(I don't watch "fantasy" so AGoT was never going to work on me).

Then I found out it was based on books, so I hunted them down. Holden is still a dick.

I think Amazon has them. Expanse airs on SyFy, which means it's an NBC thing which usually means Hulu in the US and Netflix everywhere else.

What ? Outside of the US ? Usually, it is the opposite, you have everything first! I'll watch the new season today, hoping it is as good as the first two !

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Man, even putting aside the plot and setting, I could watch this show just for the space battles. I love that rather than seeing "realistic" space combat as a limitation, they use its oddities to generate a mixture of "sub-warfare"-style thriller moments, and cool gravity/thrust-based set piece scenes.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

So, err, yeah - The Expanse has been cancelled.

Why? Who knows, tbh. It was apparently commercially successful, critically well received, and it's evidently got a solid and dedicated fanbase, so I guess the people in charge at Syfy are just colossal morons? Gotta find space in the schedule for more reruns, paranormal "ghost hunting" garbage, and wrestling shows I suppose

Hopefully some less clinically stupid outlet will pick it up.

I knew it. It's too good a show to have gotten a good number of seasons. Meanwhile Big Bang Theory is on like season 321.

Oh SyFy...kings of "we have an amazing show and IP that matches our station theme and core audience base perfectly...lets cancel it and run wrestling and haunted house reality TV garbage!" This trend of theirs was a big reason I stopped paying for cable years ago. Farscape, First Wave, Dark Matter, now The Expanse...

Netflix...you know what to do.

Hope to see more of The Expanse in the future.

They haven't done ghost hunting stuff in almost 10 years.

From what's been getting posted around, it's more that Alcon(the company producing it) has been unhappy with the distribution worldwide vs US.

Ballpark guess, it's going to be something relating to how the next season would have been much more VFX heavy and would be a much bigger budget.

I "kinda" enjoyed the first season ... then they killed Miller and I just lost interest (because/ Miller = Most interesting character!)

Hugely overrated IMO ...
I didn't like the cast at all ... none. I found everyone hugely annoying and artificial ... except for Miller

Meh

In terms of recent sci-fi? Weak.

Miller isn't really dead. He comes back a few times in the books (but whether it's Holden's hallucinations or a leftover of the protomolecule is never really expanded on).

Well, because no-one who becomes with the blue goo really dies - it's all interconnected. Io, Eros, Venus ... it's all the one "creature".

Dammit......I love this show. Maybe it'll be like Longmire and Netrlix does a final season after it leaves TV. What a moronic move.

Nah... they make it explicitly clear what is going on with Miller. But, you might want to avoid spoilers without the tag.

Really, SYFY, It’s not like you are Fox or something…. Love theTV adaptation. Just different enough to feel fresh even if you are very familiar with the books.
