I'm planning a trip up through British Columbia later this year and was wondering if there are any local shops there that sell GW stuff at a markdown?

Great Canadian Miniatures is based out of BC (Victoria, I believe), and they offer a 25-30% discount.

However, I don't know that they have a storefront - which is the cause of an ongoing dispute between them and Games Workshop. And since they haven't updated their website since September the last time this dispute flared up, I don't know that they're even still open for business.

Yea, I'm definitely looking for someone with a storefront.

If you are going to be in Vancouver ( or the lower mainland) basically the GW store rules the roost for 40k stuff. There are a ton of FLGS but I can't really recall anyone selling at a discount. The only place I know of that might is a place called Connection Games 2 in Vancouver on Renfrew Street and Grandview highway.

Back in the day they use to sell GW stuff at a discount but around late 5th early 6th the store owner had enough of GW's Trade practices and since Magic is always king there they stopped stocking the GW range. They had like 50%-75% sale on to move stock. I know now that the store owner is getting back into selling and supporting 40k at least at the store but I don't know if they will still do the discount.

If you are into Infinity that is also the place to get a game in on the weekend as thats where the local Infinity FB group set up shop. Nice people.

Ah lowermainland on the other side of the bridges. I know there used to be a store over there called Weisers that had a lot of tables and they might of done a discount I think it was like 10-15%. I haven't been there in years tho maybe google them and see if they are still around and do a discount. I know most places would be more then happy to take your green backs.

There is Toy Traders (it is in Langley). I have never used it, but some of my gaming group has to find deals on re-sale. You just never know what is going to be there.
