First off, I am aware that the last update to the forge world chapter tactics was 6th edition however coming back to the hobby and seeing such changes to how things work it does make me wonder how one would go about updating Red Scorpion's chapter tactics.

Though I liked the idea of upgrading tactical sergeant to an apothicary (because when I first started the hobby that was an option to do so by making your own chapter doctrine of sorts) with all the changes to apothecaries though I'm not sure if it's as possible now. They are now not restrained to being apart of command squads and instead of giving FNP they can do far more now. With the Red Scorpion fluff focus on purity though I do wonder how it could play out without being too much.

The best I can think of is instead of giving the apothicary to each tactical squad as they had instead possibly improving the capacity of the apothecary. Incentivize their presence rather than just giving them to squads since in this new edition they can wander to where they are needed. However, I bet someone else could come up with a better or different approach.

While I expect it will be a long wait, I expect that FW will eventually release books with traits for all their armys.

I expect red scorpions will get a chapter tactic, a warlord trait, a stratagem, and a relic.

I also expect Hive Fleet Anphelion to get an adaptation, warlord trait, stratagem, and relic

Mephreit Dynasty a code, etc etc...

The new army set up for 8th is just built for those things to come to all the armies FW releases.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

As a Red Scorpions collector and player, I am assuming that the near-mythical "Imperial Armour: Fires of Cyraxus" will give us these things.

The fear is that it will be something utterly dull like a 6+ FNP

I wouldn't object to a 5+ FNP for units within 6" of an apothecary. Puritanically resilient. Would probably make me field a couple of apothecaries again.

I am currently using IH chapter tactics for that 6+ FNP just to have something close to what RS chapter tactics would give so I understand exactly what you mean.

It would be interesting to have a chapter tactic work in that way but I'd probably drop the range to 3". That way it works like the current changes and is like the apothecary joining the squad (even though that can affect multiple).

In a similar but different vein it'd be interesting to see a RS stratagem that focused on apothicary/ies but I cannot say I'd be sure what it should be able to do or how many command points to have it cost.

Strength in Purity
3CP: resurrect all <RED SCOPRIONS> models that have died this battle round.

Lol.

I personally don't think they will get unique stratagem. Just the units that already have datasheets, a chapter tactic, and updated lore.

Would be nice to be surprised though.
