This was a really large project for me, and Im happy with the results. The paint scheme was strictly established by the client, so it was fun working with very Nurgle-ish and Khorne type models set in a Tzeentch
scheme. The bases were required to be pretty barren and low in dynamic range, so I simply did my best to sculpt them with slate.

All of the pics here:

The irony works very well! I'm sure tzeentch is rubbing his palms together in approval.

Something like that, I just worked as if they were overpowered/possessed by Tzeentch.

One of the best painted armies I've ever seen, the colour pallet is spot on.

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

Excellent work! Out of curiosity, how much do you charge in commission for such a vast and time consuming project?

Thank you, I took some time to come up with the 'recipe' before committing because once you do one of the big guys its over...I did all the MC's first, Great Unclean One being the first.

For all of them, using a dark green shadow (Secret Weapon Rust Shadow I believe) really got me where I wanted to go, even though its probably not whats first noticed, the army would
look a lot different had I not.

I also had to get it to a certain level without going over budget. So 'cheats' were enabled.

I think something I greatly appreciate with this army, comparatively with many chaos armies I have seen, is that much of the sillyness is gone. That is not a bad thing, especially for this army, because it illustrates very well the true horror that is the warp and the denizens within.

I personally would have preferred some more saturated purples within the crevices on some of the figures, but overall the execution is quite stunning. Well done!

Where are the Tzeentch GD non-GW models from, particularly the female and the flamer-esque sorcerer one?

Thanks, I was given about 6-7 different pictures of various models he had commissioned from other artists to get an idea of where this needed to fit, so I didnt have a lot of freedom but each artist does things their
own way, it was fun trying to get as creative within a box.

This is being added to a pretty gigantic collection of Tzeentch, Im sure the full collection is quite impressive to see.

The winged lady is Lady of Arcana and the flamer pointy finger man is Lord of Metamorphis, both from Creature Caster.

Amazing. Absolutely love it. Very fun to see the Tzeentch army in it entirety. I love the colour scheme. It really brings it to life. 10/10

Absolutely wonderful painting as usual. I'll be honest...the army-wide picture is a bit underwhelming because of the relaxed colour palette (too much of the same colour just kinda blends into "blue"), but the solo pictures are superb. I think this army would look better on a beautifully done up table, than the photo-backdrop. Almost too much of a good thing?

Excellent work as always.

Agreed. Its also the color of the background being repetitive too. In the new house Im moving to, I get a few rooms dedicated to work, so a staging table is in the cards. I dont think anyone can do it better than GMM does his, they are wonderful and I dont want to get that extreme, but I think having a table for big armies like this is a good idea.
It just makes a big difference, especially when a project has months behind it and presenting it is basically your main form of advertisement.

Thanks, though I do want to say that the color balance is the most essential part to the overall look. The actual paintwork itself is a lot more approachable than it might look at first glance, Im no
master painter like some of the other artists around here.

Are all the after market demon models from creature caster (I think I see a studio McVey one in there)?

Very excellent work mate, you have come a long way, always cool watching a good painter become a great one.

Thanks, Ive been taking classes and have plugged in study breaks this year to actually practice and move forward in general as an artist (with sculpt/oil/drawing), so hopefully those things bounce back to commission painting in drops here and there. This army was
the end of like six months of non stop commission work, and its weird how it actually freezes you from progressing, because you paint economically instead of openly.

I think most of the big guys are Creature Caster, and then theres the McVey Apocalypse model, a Nik model from the Shadow Lords kickstarter, and of course the Great Unclean One.

I have to admit that it's a bit weird seeing Nurgle models painted that way (some of your customers have 'niche' ideas!), but the colour scheme is fabulous. Nice work!
