Hey Dakka!

I am looking to get some feedback on my list.

Currently, I have 0 games with Dark Eldar but I love the fluff behind them and some of their models so I took the plunge.

Here is what I am thinking:
Battalion:
Drazhar
Lelith Hesperax

10 Kalabite warriors
10 kalabite warriors
9 wyches

8 Incubi
5 Trueborn, 4 shredder

Dark Ravager
Dark Ravager

Razorwing Jetfighter
Razorwing Jetfighter

Raider
Raider
Raider
Raider
Raider

Puts me at 1921/2000 points. Unsure what gear to give the Troops or if this will be competitive at all.

The Raiders, fliers and Ravagers are all Dark lances.

You'll destroy elite armies and tanks, but will have major trouble against hordes.

Also, they're Kabalites, not Kalabites.

I am a tourney goer and I played DE all through 5e. I disagree with Atlati Jones; this list won't do much.

DE either shoot a hella lot ... or they used to hit with wyches, grotesques & wracks, and Talos & Cronos.

This list doesn't have enough of either.

My 5e list had 21 Dark Lances/blasters (or 24). Yours has 15.
My same list had nearly 30 wyches. Your h2h is 9 girls, Leli & Drazhar, and 8 incs. Not even a full 20 elves.

Lelith will wound most things on 5+. No character on a 25 mm base wrecks units anymore. Most 32 mm based characters (they were on 25s) have suffered an 8e generalized nerf, with 4 to 5 smacks per phase. It takes Bobby-Billy, a DP or Morty to single handedly wallop a 10 man MEq down to 1 or 2 left, likely to die to Morale.

That awful bit of critiquing over, let's tool up your crew:

a. Truborn ought to carry blasters.
b. The 15 Dark Lances wiill make short work of Mortarion or Magnus.
c. For Troops, go whole hog with all Kabalites for shooting. The 9 wyches are wounding most of 8e on 5s (splinter pistols aside) and won't hold up. Shelve them. Again, sadness.
d. demote Lelith to a Succubus. I know you're already flush with extra points, but there's not too much point in spending so heavily on Lelith (I have a pro-painted model of her ... shelved since an 0-3 tourney last summer.
Tears. Tears.
e. Points left? buy a 3rd Ravager for more DLs.
f. gear upgrades - Dark Lances with the Kabs, and usually take the upgrade best toy for Incubi sergeants and hekatrix leaders.

And bring Preperation H to your next tourney. You have a long up hill road ahead.

Thoughts and Prayers.

srsly, good luck and study up on enemy strategems.

They'll mainly wreck tanks by virtue of having 15+ dark lances.

I agree the wyches won't do much. Their offense is pretty weak in 8e, so they're more useful as tarpits for shooters than for actually killing most things.

Incubi are very good against MEQ, but have trouble against anything with T5 or better.

Shredders... aren't very good. Use Blasters, or wait until the Codex comes out in a few weeks to see if non-darklight special and heavy weapons have been improved at all.

A Raider is wasted by putting only 5 true born in it. Use a Venom instead. They're harder to hit and can hide behind cover much more easily.

Yes, a few tanks, but not enough. There are vehicle heavy guard lists, like HellHounds with a BaneBlade/ShadowSword that, if going first, that Super Heavy will die, but there won't be much left.
:(
Stil, the positives!
15 shots, 10 hit. Most wound at 3+, so 6 to 7 wounds. Usually, no saves. 3.5 wounds per shot getting through. 20 wounds or so! Take that Morty! Or, easily one dead rhino and a half or a solid killed Wave serpent per turn.

Killing 9 Rhino equivalents per 6 turns is good ... but DE vehicles go down to infantry's basic fire, so this ratio won't hold up as the ravagers will get banged first and by even Turn 2, the Dark Lances are down to 9 (or 12 with vehicle degredation as the BS falls to 4 or 5).

I'd split the kabalite units into 5 man squads in venoms to be honest. You don't need that many lances but you may need more bodies on the ground. I'd also avoid the trueborn, just put a blaster in each kabalite squad. Keep the raiders for incubi and wyches.

The HQs are quite lackluster, avoid drazhar and lelith, just bring a standard succubus and an archon with a blaster. Maybe an haemy instead of one of those to buff the transports toughness.

Thanks for all the input! I will demote the characters to regular versions of themselves.

I can get rid of the Trueborn and use those bodies to make up more warrior units easy enough.

Are Incubi not worth using? I just love the models and the fluff behind them so I wanted to give them a shot.

How do you guys feel about Hellions?

IMHO hellions are terrible, someone seems to love them or consider them decent at least. They're basically a fast tarpit though, their melee output is ridiculous.

I like incubi, I think they're a great unit. Better as a scalpel though, like 5 man in a venom. In the wych squad a model with gauntlets and an hekatrix with agoniser would be a good add, only +8 points.

Why 6 raiders? You have 5 units. Bring the third ravager instead, eventually cutting a couple of incubi if you don't have the points.

I like hellions, but they're too expensive for what they bring, and their lack of AP seriously limits their melee output.

I agree about Incubi. They're great for targeted strikes in venoms.

What special and heavy weapons do your cabalites have? You don't list equipment for your troops.
