What do you think would be the optimal
Amout of Destroyers in a 1000 point army?

Small units of Destroyers (or any Necrons) will always be vulnerable to being wiped out without their Reanimation protocols helping them. The answer is always to make the unit as large as possible. Since they can split their fire if they need to, there is little risk.

If possible, run them in a Nephrek Detachment to deploy them via Translocation Crypt to prevent them being alphaed and to make sure they can take out a big juicy target on your first turn. Season with the stratagem to reroll all failed hits and wounds if necessary to ensure their firepower sticks.

I stand between the darkness and the light. Between the candle and the star.

You want them in a unit of 6 for Extermination Protocols. At 1000 points just one unit will do you fine, and will probably piss off your opponents plenty.
