So, as the titel says. I would like to get back to my small Collecting of the overlords and now get an army big enough to actually play a game..
But it seems they got really nerfet doing the last FAQ and GHB..? At the same time, they have zero source of mortal wounds or defence against it for that matter.. what do you guys think. Should I go for it or would I be Better of with something like ironjawz or sylvaneth?
Cheers!

Overlords have amazing miniatures and a great thematic sculpts. A turkey unique army. That said, you will have fun collecting and painting them! Competitively they are limited to one turkey cometpetive build. Lookup AOS shorts podcast where they interview Gary Percival who is one of the best KO players in the world based on tournament placings. Or google “clown car” list. It is limited to barak-zilfin. A KO player in my area enjoys and uses Barak-urbaz to moderate success.

How are they outside the one build? Really bad or just meh?

If your playing friendly games, with your buddies or in a casual setting they are fine and fun!! But in a tournament setting they have a single build that is still just high end mid-tier.

That sounds good to me. I've never been into tournaments anyway.
