Hi Folks,

New player to AOS with a bit of a (possibly) unusual question. In my gaming group, everyone plays 40k, however one of my friends nearby plays AOS. I am thinking of getting an army together that I could use in both systems. I was toying with the idea of running a "Nurgle's menagerie" list using the start collecting set, some beasts of nurgle and some of the trees, as well as Slimux.

First of all, is this viable? I know that the price (in money) of the beasts and trees is pretty high but since none of these games will be in stores or tournaments I am quite happy to proxy using models from other lines etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Also, I have been playing around with the Warscroll builder on my phone, I don't seem to be able to find a way to add the trees on to the list, are there any points costs involved with them or do I just need to bring some along and just field them as they are planted?

Hi, an all Nurgle daemon army is totally viable in AOS With the Maggotkin Battletome you are also free to add a range of Mortal units too who can help pack a punch in areas your daemons may be lacking.

To start with, in Matched play you must have at least 2 Battline units at 1000 points, so the list you have posted is a little short with just the 1.

Plaguebearers benefit from being in larger units as it makes tham harder to target with shooting and in combat.

I would reccomend starting with the Start Collecting or Blight War (or both!) here's a list i wrote, also with the intention of (most) units crossing over into 40k. The blightkings are the only AoS exclusive unit in the list, but they're great models and pack one hell of a punch in game, plus they fill that all important second Battle Line slot.

Leaders
Poxbringer Herald of Nurgle (120)
Daemon Prince of Nurgle (160)

Battleline
30 x Plaguebearers (320)
5 x Putrid Blightkings (160)
- Nurgle Battleline

Units
3 x Plague Drones (200)

Total: 960 / 1000
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 78
