Can someone explain to me why single model units have a range? For Instance the Terrorgiest has a 3" range. Why even have a range when you can only attack things that are in base to base combat with you, and the wounds are allocated to the unit as a whole and not a single model you could pick out in the unit.

Sorry, just need clarification.

It seems like you are new? It would probably be worthwhile to read through the basic rules, only four pages and there are some pretty important details that can get missed if someone is teaching you.

Nope, been playing for a while and our entire game community is stumped on this one.

So a straight answer would be appreciated to answer the question for a dozen people.

OK, let me answer and also put this a little more bluntly. Melee weapons have a range just like ranged ones, there is no requirement to be base to be for anything, anywhere, in all of AoS. Right in the main rules, attacking section, it is explicitly clear how ranges work. With all due respect, if something that basic is being missed then your community should really go over the rules in detail because I suspect there's other things too.

Thanks, blunt answers make for better answers rather than...

"Go fetch!". This was a rules question topic, not a, "Go do the work yourself" Topic.

Thanks for the help though!
