Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

Anyone thinking of incorporating these into their lists? Seems cheap enough to be a cool addition to a list. I might stick them in my Army of Dark Compliance. Thoughts?

Without knowing what Subterranean Assault, Death from Below, Melta Cutters, and crawling advance do... meh? The only direct comparison would be to a Anvillus Pattern Dreadclaw Drop Pod. They are both FA transports that can carry 10 models, though the Dreadclaw can transport a Dreadnought, or Terminators. It's also an assault vehicle with the Flyer rule, so can take off again after it delivers it's cargo. The nice thing about the Dreadclaw is the ability to jink and torch models it moves over.
Depending on if the Drill can be shot at with interceptor fire (it moves underground after all...), and what those extra special rules are, it might just be a toss up between the Dreadclaw and Drill.

Wouldn't fit my wolves but my mates an imperial fists player he's getting one.
Seems like a solid transport choice.

The ability to disrupt an opponents back line seems like a good sell for me. And since it’s just a fast Attack choice means you don’t need to use a Rite of War to get it.

Sounds like that could be good fun, even if not especially competitive. I'd be interested in picking up a couple for my wolves and putting stuff like deathsworn, vets, support squads, breachers or seekers into them. Just the fluff and narrative opportunities that these bring is exciting enough for me as I thought they'd end up being a mechanicum or auxilia unit rather than an astartes one.

Yeah, my main list is an Army of Dark Compliance with Iron Warriors, so I’ve been thinking of sticking the elite Legionnaires in them or maybe just some Grenadier squads!

What will make this unit so desirable is that it comes from a slot that is generally looked over. Very few Legions and RoW have anything really desirable out of the Fast Attack slot. Typically only one unit is taken from this category.
Another advantage: It's not a dedicated transport, and doesn't require a RoW or special character to unlock.
A disadvantage: It's not a dedicated transport, and takes up a slot in the force organization chart.
It's now up for preorder at the Forge World store.

The Imperial Army version is pretty cheap and nasty - two heavy flamers and the option of a flamer section bundled inside, all for ~ 200 points, is some serious crowd control to deploy anywhere on the board on turn 1...

Plus it has a transport capacity of 12, meaning it's a rare case of medics being attached inside a transport.

Disappointing that the Mechanicum can't take them - us lucky fellows on Isstvan 3 with Caleb Decima can take one (1) as a heavy support choice, but i would've thought these things would be freely available to us.
Maybe we get the Ordinatus version instead?

The most appealing characteristic about this transport is the capacity of 12 models. You could (for example) transport 10 Vets, an Apothecary, and your Praetorian. That's a pretty big plus in my book that I missed on my initial examination above. All for about +100 points.

Yeah that’s a big plus. For me as a Milita player it means I can stick a grenadier squad in there with 2 special weapons as well which is nice.

As a Solar Auxilia player I can take 3 and stick 2 squads of Haywire Grenade launchers servitors to crack the hard Spartan exteritor, then nuke the soft HQ rich interior with Basilisks, Demolishers and Medusas.
Mechanicum is going to be crazy with Hoplite spam.
Legion support squads in these are going to be great.
The new age of Heresy has dawned! The Termite Age.
