So this came up in a game the other day, an opponents tank tried to tank shot my Militia article, which is immobile, so they can move out of the way technically. I mean the crew could I suppose but not the guns. What’s supposed to happen here, or any other situation where an immobile unit is forced to move? Looking for both RAW and RAI if you can manage it. Asking here instead of the rules area, since 30k is no longer the same as 8th. Cheers.

I think this same situation came up with that big Tau suit that could become immobile in order to shoot more. Anybody remember what GW ruled on that one?

That was back in 7th, but I think it got insta-killed was the ruling

Read some WWII memoirs about what happened when "immobile" (technically towed) artillery got run over by tanks.

Hint:
The crew usually fled from the crushing treads and the guns didn't withstand the 15-60 tons of added weight...
