I got a tournament coming up Saturday in Cornelius, NC and just thinking on some ideas that could be awesome but also not on the meta-wing or other list sights so no one will expect it

List 1: BK Whopper

https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Rebel%20Alliance&d=v4!s!280:245,244,41,-1:-1:33:;141:-1,126,-1,243,40,-1,-1:-1:24:;141:-1,126,-1,243,40,-1,-1:-1:24:&sn=BK%20Whopper&obs=

I like this list if I can remember to use the Intelligence Agents. I flew this list a couple days ago in a triple threat against a Brobot and Kenkirk + 2 Aggressors (Double Edge and someone) And it is awesomely good if I can hit something with 2 harps and a proton bomb. Also the Intell Agents really help get the Ks out of and away from trouble after the initial missile shots. The only downside is once the ordnance is gone the gunfighting is pretty bleh.

List 2: Alpha RAC

https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Galactic%20Empire&d=v4!s!267:27,-1,243:61:16:U.-1,U.14;99:151,1,251,195,183,-1:15:13:&sn=Alpha-RAC&obs=

I got this idea from watching a Quick/RAC list, and I only have one gunboat so figured I'd make it count....could do QuickRAC just as well but again I fully expect people to expect it. Flown this against a Baby Blues and while I had no shields and the Deci only had a hull left, it smoked everything else in pretty short order. Going to try Cool Hand though to take advantage of a situation where I end up stressed.

List 3: Firecaster

https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Scum%20and%20Villainy&d=v4!s!116:188,-1,-1,178,14,128:-1:25:;219:27,190,207,128:44:12:&sn=Firecaster%202.0&obs=

I've flown various versions of this list so it's the one I have the most experience with, Normally I have K4 on Asajj but figured I'd try Latts again even after she's failed me multiple times. EMP device is new as well but it could be fun to shake blockers once I get close up especially if I got em' stressed.

List 4: Joker's Salvo
https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Scum%20and%20Villainy&d=v4!s!135:9,243,128:54:25:M.32,M.26;263:19,26,113:54:32:M.26,M.25;272:27,-1,243,118,128:-1:25:&sn=Joker's%20Salvo&obs=

It's my version the Moby Dick Kick list, and as I don't own 3 Khiraxzs I have to make due with a worthy substitute. And I only have 2 harpoons, so...assault missiles for the win...I hope.

First list is what I'll focus on. Aside form being able to choose your order of activation, do you get that much milleage out of having PS4 Ks? Bring 'em down to PS2, save the points. I'm not objective about Crimson Specialist, because I like it, so I'd just change her silos to a bomblet generator a)cheaper b)you actually get to roll potential crits to activate harpoons. You then get enough points to add a TLT to one K, and an ABT on the second, or a seismic charge that you can dump twice.

Nope. Harpoons only go off if you suffer an uncancelled {crit} result from an attack. A bomblet won't do it.

No. You're trying to do an alpha list with the k-wings, but k-wings are a poor alpha platform. You're paying a lot of points for the hull and only get one missile shot, and nothing about the ship buffs the missile shot. For each 32-point k-wing you have you could bring two z-95s with harpoon missiles. And the bomber is a pretty questionable choice. You're paying almost as much as Nym for a much weaker ship.

List 2: Alpha RAC

This is a bad version of a questionable list. I've played some RAC/Vynder and it's a really matchup-dependent list. Against lower PS lists or low-agility lists you can quickly PS 0 it can work, but it also has some matchups where you just die.

This is the list I was using, with much better upgrade choices than yours: https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Galactic%20Empire&d=v4!s!267:27,-1,-1:61:16:U.1,U.-1;99:57,-1,132,195,-1,-1:-1:3:&sn=Better%20RAC%2FVynder&obs=

List 3: Firecaster

This is probably the closest to a viable list. VI is a waste on PS 6, take PTL and EU instead. The Shadowcaster loves PTL + EU with those ridiculous 3-speed green turns. Dump EMP and the title, neither one is really worth it.

List 4: Joker's Salvo

Hot shot -> glitterstim.

Assault -> harpoon (borrow one if you have to).

It's definitely an all or nothing list, you either win on turn 1 or get wiped off the table.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Couple reasons I thought about 4s was they were the same PS as Rhos and the like. That and activation sequence so I don't idiotically run into my own proton bomb. So I might look at dropping to PS2 and use the bomblets And again figured the intel agents would help me dodge higher PS ships.

BK: Yeah I was hoping the high amount of health and intell agents would be what made the list tough to go against, and the rerolls of harpoons making up the difference, but any ship with a missle slot 'could' do that I guess including my beloved Zs. (Which I wish was a stronger ship as it's still one of my all time favorite ships in X-wing lore.) And I have Nym, if I could work something scary with him and the bomber I'd certainly be interested. I also love big, low agility ships. (Thought about a bomber and VCX for a long time too.)

Alpha-RAC: Any reason for protons instead of harps on Vynder in your list? Also I don't own Palp, nor does anyone in the gaming group.

Firecaster: Really? I thought the point of the title and VI is pilot match with Boba, so when you hit you tractor someone into his range one, 8 dice cluster and good night shot. Definately not married to EMP though. But I only got 2 glitters so I can't go full TimeWalk. I know someone told me the way I fly this list I should use Ketsu (Heard it again when my matches were on Twitch during the Krayt Cup.)

Joker's Salvo: I'd make those changes if I could, but borrowing might be tricky. I did think about using Homers on Jostero instead of Assault missiles. But I do love the idea of a harp hitting, next harp setting that one off, and then the assaults hitting and splashing again.and causing the 2nd harp to splash as well. And yeah it's certainly all or nothing, it was recommended to me to get over the ReyLow hump I've been struggling with. (In the 3 harp variety just...again don't have it. )

Also thanks for the time guys.

Can only speak for the Scum lists really but my thoughts are;

Firecaster,;if your intent is for the tractor shenanigans the Ketsu is a much better call. If doing so then I would add a K4, Crane and adaptability. With the plethora of greens on the dial K4 should be going off very frequently, adaptability takes your PS to 8 like Bob and you will knife fighting at range 1-2 so Crane should get a good workout.

Salvo; You need to be really, really good with these ships to pull this off, it is as squishy as a jelly fish. Pulsed ray shield is more likely to get you killed than it is to help, especially in a PS11 boost and bomb meta. With the way you have set up the list it seems that you want to fly in close formation and this as much a trap for yourself as your oppo, harpoons are really common...

Firecaster: Which I like the idea of knife fighting as it 'generally' saves me from tlt and harps if I'm so close they can't make use of them.

Salvo: I fly the Kimo a lot and I've got a great 'feel' for where I need it to be. My Khiraxz flying could use some work but I did use a modified version of this list with Torani against Poe and 2 other T-70s (forgot which ones) and it did beautifully. But I agree it is a sometimes a trap flying that close.

It is and that's why I really dislike the PRS, being forced into a white 1 forward either means it doesn't get used, you set yourself up for dying or you are out of the fight for 2/3 turns. I do like it on HLC Sycks though!

Have you found that you get much use out of the bullseye and unhinged on the Kimo? I have been using it a lot and only really get the bullseye on large based ships reliably and got scared away from the mech due to wanting to snipe from as far away as possible.

Well don't forget you can barrel roll to get the bullseye on target and you need that green. But yeah, it's primarily a whaler. It goes after the big ships that can token up. It's also good against swarms where no matter which way you're pointed you have 'something' in the bullseye. Where I've found it struggles is hanging with two small ship builds like Nymranda. Torani and Dalan can toast Nym's biscuits in a one on one gun and missile fight but Miranda is able to get out of the way. It also struggles against ships and builds that don't use tokens.

Also I think I've decided not to run the Bomber and K-wings, might just shelve that for friendly games

Taking advice and mulling these three now:

Damn, you're right. Ugh.

For funzies, I want to try a Crimson Specialist/Nym/Sheathipede-of-your-choice list. I think if you're determined to put the bomber on the table (and kudos to you for flavour points) you have to resign yourself to running matches where you automatically lose all the points you invest in it. It's just not a good ship, forget being great.

Yeah every test match I've done (using Ghost Fenn, DashNorra, and Rey/Low as an opponents to determine overall goodness,) the bomber just dies. It takes an ENORMOUS licking though. And it's to borrow a 40K phrase a distraction Carnifex. And I've found that once the ordance is spent if the opponent isn't dead the Ks and Bomber just don't have the natural teeth to get past the opponent.
