Oi, I was jus' skimming through IA: Index Xenos when I noticed a distinxt lak of rules for da Orks' Mega-Dread. Now dis ain't sitting roight with me, cause da gits at FW are still selling dis awesum kit without no krumping rules. So I'z decided to fix it, with da following preposal;
Mega-Dread proposed rules (cause FW still sells ‘em but they ain’t got any rules, dem gits!)
Statline;
Mega-Dread: M*/WS*/BS 4+/S*/T7/W16/A5/LD6/Sv3+
Damage Table;
Remaining wounds 10-16 ->M8”/WS3+/S6
Remaining wounds 4-9 ->M6”/WS4+/S5
Remaining wounds 1-3 ->M4”/WS5+/S4
A Mega Dread is a single model armed with 2 rippa klaws and 2 big shootas.
Wargear Options;
*The Mega-Dread may replace one or both of its rippa klaws with one of the following weapons: a kill Kannon or a kill saw.
Wargear rules;
Rippa klaws: Range-Melee, Type-Melee, S x2, AP-3, Damage D6. Ability:
Big Shoota: Range-36”, Type Assault3, S5, AP0, Damage 1. Ability:
Kill Kannon: Range-24”, Type-Heavy D6, S7, AP-2, Damage 2. Ability:
Kill Saw: Range-Melee, Type-Melee, S x2, AP-4, Damage 4. Ability: If the model is equipped with 2 Kill Saws, add 1 to its attack characteristics.
Special Rules;
’Ere we go: A unit with this ability may re-roll failed charge rolls.
Ramshackle Monster: Each time a Mega Dread loses a wound from any weapon, roll a D6- on a 4+ the wound is ignored. The first time this roll is failed, the result needed is a 5+, and so on until the roll fails on a 6+, and this ability may no longer be used.
Rip ‘n Tear: If the model is equipped with 2 Melee weapons, A Mega-Dread increases its Attack Characteristics by 1 (stackable with the Kill Saw’s ability).
Big ‘N Stompy: This Model can fall back in you Movement phase and still soot and/or charge during its turn. In addition, it can move and fire Heavy Weapons without suffering the penalty to is hit rolls. This model only gains a bonus to its saving throws for being in cover if at least half of the model is obscured from the bearer.
Explodes: If this model is reduced to 0 wounds, roll a D6 before removing it from the battlefield. On a 6 it explodes, and each unit within 6” suffers D3 mortal Wounds.
Now ya gits better tell me how to fix any issues there maybe. I uzed da Meka-Dread as da basis for this set of proposed rules.
