Some time ago, I read something about IoM not being able to replicate Warp-Drives, so the number of space ships they have is limited, and when one of them is lost, there is no way to fabricate a new one, as Adeptus Mechanicus had lost the knowledge to make Warp-Drives long ago. Is that right? Or can IoM still build new space ship able to travel faster than light?

It’s possible but highly unlikely, new ships are built all the time, not warships but inter system traders, cargo ships, troop transports etc. So the sheer amount of warp drives needed for the BILLIONS of those vessels needed is astronomical

It could mean a certain design or more advanced warp drive. There are millions upon millions of basic warp capable traders, supply ships and cargo haulers.
Plus mechanicicus makes many many kinds of drives.
From small 1.2km ships and so to giant Stratford drives.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

Not so sure they lost knowledge of warp drive construction. That knowledge is their linchpin for being part of the Imperium and representing one of the 2 heads on the Imperial Aquila.

It's pretty clear that the Imperium can still build warp drives (and more importantly Gellar field generators)
Whether they know why what they build works is less likely.
They have a template to follow, but the understanding might not be there.

May not understand one but they can churn out a basic cargo ship with a standard basic warp and gellor system. Armed with a basic defense system by the hundreds and thousands.
