Stormcast Eternal specific rule query:

My Gryph-hounds Warning Cry ability: "...Any unit within that many inches of the Gryph is alerted to the enemy units presence, and can attack it with one of its weapons as though it were your shooting phase."

With that in mind, if one of my units that has been alerted is my Lord Celestant on Stardrake. Can he now shoot with his Lord of the Heavens ability?

It is not listed as a "weapon" on the war scroll, rather its listed as an ability, of which states "In your shooting phase, a Stardrake can either breathe a Roiling thunderhead or call a Rain of Stars down from the heavens."

I would say it could still shoot, but the use of the word weapon makes me uncertain.

Many thanks,

No, because it isn't a weapon.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
