Will look into Daemons but for now just focusing on Bloodbound models.

I've got two lists that I'm a little unsure on which direction to follow.

List 1

Mighty Lord of Khorne = 140
Slaughter Priest = 100
Bloodsecrator = 120

10 Blood Warriors, 1 Gorecleaver = 200
10 Blood Warriors, 1 Gorecleaver = 200
40 Blood Reavers, Meatripper Axes = 240

List 2

Lord of Khorne on Juggernaut = 140
Slaughter Priest, Hackblade = 100
Slaughter Priest, Hackblade = 100
Bloodsecrator = 120

10 Blood Warriors, 1 Gorecleaver = 200
10 Blood Warriors, 1 Gorecleaver = 200
3 Mighty Skullcrushers, = 140

I've only got the Start Collecting box and possibly the starter box from my mate so either direction is doable, I'm just wondering whether to go big blobs or fast mobile units.

When building a Bloodbound list (and for most Khorne Daemon lists for that matter), you should always start with a Gore Pilgrims battallion:

1 Bloodsecrator
2-3 Slaughterpriests
1-2 units of Blood Warriors
1-2 units of Bloodreavers

Looks like you basically already have this in your first list. The battalion extends the range of you Bloodsecrator's portal and allows the Slaughterpriests to reroll their prayer roll. It's well-worth the 80 points plus units costs for any Khorne list.

Except it’s not 80 anymore. It’s now 180 since GHB2017. It’s a huge chunk out of a 1000pt army.

Just had Blades of Khorne on my phone. Forgot about the points increase. In either case, that's about the same price as the extra Bloodsecrator and Slaughterpriest you'd need to replicated the effect. Still worth it to me.
