So here are my Ninja/Masked Men kit bash completed . The models are from the Warlord Games Test of Honour line and all I did was swap out the Masked mens heads with the Ninjas and did a little putty work.

In all seriousness, they look stellar. But one question, were their masked meant to look like faces, i.e. a red skin tone?

First are "10 Masked Men" a movie and to answer your question yes they are supposed to be red. I am using the Masked Men heads for One Masks.
