This is the Mourning Spear, a custom build bitz bashed Imperial Landship mega project which took 36 hours and over $1800 in invested materials to complete. This is a one of a kind conversion which included several out of print pieces which makes it even more unique. You will never see this reproduced.
What is it?
Its cheaper then a warlord titan and bigger then a foreworld Manta and weither you see it as a gaming board, a collection of terrain, a collection of models or the biggest model of its class ever built, you can't argue that this is a show stopping center peice.
Materials
About 85% of what was used in this project was either bought new or ìn it's bare plastic form. Included in this project is everything seen in the pictures as well as over 100 space marines (full company) as well as two rhinos and a few additional surprises. The marines and tanks all fit inside the lower level.
Here is a list of all the materials that were bought and integrated into this project.
Imperial Objectives set X2 $ 100
Rhino X2 $120
Drop pods X2 $100
Space marines X100 $500
Imperial sector set $200
OOP nercomada plates $140
Land raider X4 $240
Crane terrain set X2 $120
Plasma reactors terrain set $30
Gun replacement terrain set $60
Plasticard $20
Moving trays $40
Shipping costs to date $150
Dimensions
One of the goals for this project was to make it bigger and more impressive then the forgeworld manta model therefore the dimensions are ( 62 inches) tall (14 inches) wide (17 inches) long. Also the model breaks down in such a way that the upper levels can me removed and the bottom levels used as well.
Lower level includes
Assembly bay
Armory
Cargo bay
Engine room
Holding cell
Med bay
Laboratory
chapel
weapons storage
mess hall
it's not painted, but thats because there's no point in painting in in one chapter colors only to have the buyer want something different, so as far as I'm concerned, its done.
