I am putting together a DE list. I am going for the +6 range kabal. What weapons have range more then 48" that I need to look out for? Of the topp of my head I only know the leman russ battlecnnon.

Is pure weapon range all you need? Movement of the unit plus weapon range might be of more use.
But, I think the only CWE weapon is the Prism Cannon on the Fire Prism. It has a 60" range.

I think movement + range should be something I can take into account once the game starts. Leman russes and power from the machine spirit are my main conserns with 48" range. As well as any flyer.

The dark lances on the boats will be only 42" but they are assault and I hve good mobilaty.

What you even need this for? Seeing 36" ranged weapons will be in practice able to shoot at anything they want. Especially if terrain is any decent.

36 will not be able to shoot at things out of range. They will not be able to shoot while they are dead. With 14 in move and 42" range on my weapons I think they will not be able to shoot mutch at all.

However weapons with more then 48" range like the battlecannons 72" puts a stop to this tactic. I wanne know what they are so I can identefy them.

Sniper Rifles, Conversion Beamers, Earthshaker Batteries, and a few other things come to mind. Anything on a Titan.

There's not that many weapons that fire that range, but the ones that do can do a lot of damage. The other thing to be aware of is indirect fire weapons, which can target you under 48 inches without a way to shoot back.

Tau has the +6” range sept to worry about too

Necrons have the Doomsday Cannon at 72" , and the Tesseract Ark singularity chamber at 48"

Tomb blades move 14" and shoot 24"

CTans move 8" I think, plus advance, and have 24" range on some powers

6'x4' makes 36"(especially with movement) reach anywhere basically. Especially as in proper terrain rather than billiard board even getting LOS outside 36" is not quarantee.

I have no trouble shooting up with leman russ PUNISHER and that's 24" on platform that moves 5".

For Tau it is Broadside Railguns with 60" range, Ion Cannons and Railguns on Hammerheads with 60" and 72" respectively, Destroyer Missiles with 60", Ion Accelerator with 72", Pulse Driver Cannon with 72", Seeker Missiles with 72" and Supremacy Railgun with 72".

I think the >48" range weapons you'll see often on regular-sized units boils down to:

Battle Cannon
Earthshaker Cannon
Storm Eagle Rocket
Neutron Laser
Ion Accelerator Cannon
Heavy Rail Rifle
Doomsday Cannon

In addition, most Lord of War weapons outrange 48". Shadowswords, Baneblades, Knights, Pylons, and Stormsurges are common.

On top of that, Vostroya and Borkan extend the range of their guns, so Vostroyan Lascannons, Autocannons, Wyverns, etc. will all go beyond the 48" mark.

There are also a lot of weapons that are longer than 48" but don't often see play, either because of badness or because they're obscure, which you'll also want to keep in mind.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

And let's not forget that every deepstriking plasma-dude or a pack of Obliterators will happily shoot you very hard anytime (or anytime after turn 1 if you are using beta rules) regardless of your weapons range.

Well I see some problems with this strategy, Tau primararly. But all in all I think this could work.

I can even stick darklances on 10 man groups in raiders for some more lance action.

How are obliterators? I have not played vs them.

Obliterators are really strong but are deep strikers so they suffer from the turn 1 deep striking change like every other unit.

Can they not deploy on the table like normal dudes? And what is their range?

They only have a 24" range and move 4" so they really need to deep strike to actually get in range.
