That wont cost an arm and a leg. My googlefu is failing me at finding anything that will fit for converting boyz into tankbusta.
Any help?

The pointy bits from bic ballpoint pens. Bonus tubes as well if you can clean the ink out of them.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Go to your local dollar store and buy kids toys that have rockets. I have gotten a tonne from the crappy little army men style vehicles (jets, MLRSs, etc).

Do you have plastic (preferably polystyrene) rod or tubing in a mixture of sizes from about 2mm to 5mm, plasticard, and greenstuff? If so, why not try making your own?

Cut various lengths of tubing, then apply a blob of greenstuff to the end of each and roll it at an angle on a dampened (to stop it sticking) shiny surface until you have the warhead shape you want. Leave to dry, then add fins using the plasticard (with or without a cross-cut at the bottom of the rocket). If you like, you could even make a really simple press mould for the rocket heads. Once they're all done, construct some makeshift rocket rifles/etc using shootas and other orky gun bits you already have, with scarred plasticard blast shields if you like.

The things you use to fasten screw in rubbish walls. They are often rocket shaped. Just green stuff them shut. Comes in as many shapes as nails.

Ask around your gaming group for any Imperial Guard Hunter Killer missiles.

Use the forward ends (examples).

I bought a box of 1/32 (thinking it was 1/72) russian missiles off amazon. They are *enormous*, but I got some rokkits by cutting the pointy-end off bigger missiles that had canards. I'm tempted to go find a similar box (not necessarily russian, but modern aircraft missiles/bombs) at a smaller scale to finish out my tankbustas. I also used one of the smaller rocket-pods as a rocket-launcher for my killa kan.

I've also got one i made with 'styrene' tube, plasticard fins, and a greenstuff nose.

Red Dog Minis used to offer 6-pack of resin rockets, but for some reason i cant' find it on their site anymore.

I got lucky and bought a bunch of bits back when rokkitz were terrible

I was also unlucky and bought a bunch of Nobz expecting buffs.

However, these erasers might not be a tough conversion

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Pencil toppers would be massive compared to an ork I think. Also would the rubber take paint well enough?

Option 1: make friends with an IG player. Each Heavy Weapons sprue has a rocket launcher, a spare rocket, and a mortar shell. You should be able to trade a decent pile of bitz for some beer or maybe a new box of Guardsmen. The Rhino kit also comes with a lootable rocket launcher.

Option 2: get scale weapons kits. An AIM-7 sparrow is 12ft long in real life, so it would be 2 inches long at 1/72 scale. Cut off front and back sections and glue them together and you have a short and stubby rokkit.

Option 3: styrene tube, and greenstuff.

Option 4: not exactly cheap per se, but the Wazbom Blastajet kit comes with lots of ork rokkits and bombs. If you buy that and make a dakkajet or a Wazbom, all the bomma bits are left over.

Why not steal some Tau rocket pods

Also SM and CSM hunter killer missiles should be pretty cheap.
and also various kits from guard have missiles.
