I have a question on the following errata of Chaos Space Marines:

Page 138 – Helbrute, Wargear Options
Change the third bullet point to read:
‘• This model may replace each Helbrute fist with a
Helbrute hammer or power scourge.’

They aded the word "EACH". So does that mean that Helbrute can equip more than 1 power Scourge? If so, he must replace his wargear twice to do this. Once for replacing his Multi-melta with another Power Fist and second time to replace both Power Fists with Power Scourges. Is this legal? I thought you can't do replacements of the replacements... am I wrong? And if it's legal, then he could make 11 melee attacks, right?

You can't replace a replacement, even if it says each. See below

Than why would they change the original text that said: "This model may replace it's Helbrute fist with a Helbrute hammer or power scourge"?
It was prety clear that way, for me the "each" word only brings more misunderstaning.

Because I made a mistake here, the errata works fine because the 3rd entry is not the same as the first, so you can legally use the first entry to get a 2nd fist, the replace that fist for a Scourge.

If, for example, the first entry allowed you to replace your multimelta for a Multimelta and Storm Bolter, you couldn't replace the multimelta again for a 2nd storm bolter. In this case the 3rd line is independent from the first, so it's fine.

So yes, a Helbrute can end up with 2 Power Scourges and get 6 bonus attacks (much like how a model with 2 chainswords would get 2 bonus attacks).

Edit: Still an arse-about-elbows way of doing things though.

Ok I see now, thanx
