36 inch Eldar Gun Line

Preface this list is dumb and most certainly not competitive but I think it will be a lot of fun to field and on that premise alone I am building this army list. I also have too many Guardian Defenders and they almost never get to play together all at the same time.

Points: 2000
CP: 13
PP: 96

Battalion #1

HQ
Blood Avatar 250pts 13pp
Autarch w/ Starglave 77pts (Warlord) 4pp

Troops
20 Guardian Defenders w/ 2x Bright Lances 205pts 9pp
20 Guardian Defenders w/ 2x Bright Lances 205pts 9pp
20 Guardian Defenders w/ 2x Bright Lances 205pts 9pp

Battalion #2

HQ
Farseer 115pts w/ Singing Spear + Relic (Spirit Stone of Anath’ lan) (Fortune + Guide) 6pp
Asureman 175pts 9pp

Troops
8 Dire Avengers w/ Exarch + dual shuriken catapults 100 pts 6pp
8 Dire Avengers w/ Exarch + dual shuriken catapults 100 pts 6pp
8 Dire Avengers w/ Exarch + dual shuriken catapults 100 pts 6pp

Heavy Support
3 War Walkers w/ 5 B Lances + 1 Scatter Laser 260pts 12pp
6 Dark Reapers w/ exarch 217pts 7pp

Strategy:

Make a really big bubble around the Autarch and Blood avatar with 60 Guardians 3 warwalkers and 6 Dark Reapers. This will provide re rolls and a Fearless bubble. Additionally my Warlord trait will be the Biel Tan one and I will be using it on the Dark Reapers while the farseer casts Guide on the War walkers
Use Dire Avengers and Asureman as screens if need be but otherwise they will be a forward advancing branch of my army. Also Asureman will be my forward observing beat stick. Honestly I love this guy on the table. He’s eaten just about anything I have ever put him up against and he provides a decent buff for his price.
The main blob will get within 36 inches of my enemy (my main threat range) and shout BEAM at my enemies as 11 bright beams of light (lasers) rip through their tanks while missiles (Dark Reapers) take the heads of their infantry. The scatter laser will shoot things to.
If anyone jumps the blob they will be counter jumped by the BA himself, also an Autarch which is dramatically less scary.
I think this army will suffer most against any infantry heavy army with greater than 12 inch range on their basic guns but hopefully the Dire Avengers and Dark Reapers will be able to cross that bridge for me. It also lacks speed which is a big issue.

I really like the idea of this list; taking full advantage of the avatar's bubble and the biel-tan attribute. The autarch doesn't seem very necessary besides re-gaining CP. You could bring more war walkers with brightlances or starcannons to make full use of the autarch's re-roll bubble. To make the points you could drop one squad of guardians down to 10.

With the biel-tan warlord trait there is no reason to have guide; especially since you have an autarch to give re-roll 1's to the few units that need it. You sould bring doom pretty much every game; it makes the shuriken weapons twice as good vs. any target

Craftworlds Eldar: 8500
Dark Eldar: 1000
Harlequins: 1000
Raven Guard: 1500
Tyranids: 1500

For the most part I agree on the Autarch front. His main purpose for me is to provide re-rolls for the 6 bright lances in the guardian squads the.

The idea behind guide is that I can use it on the dark reaper squad while my warlord uses his ability on the war walkers although this maybe overkill.

But I do 100% agree with your point on doom so I will probably be taking that over fortune. Whats your opinion on the subject? Do you think I should keep Fortune or Guide?

Fortune or executioner are better than Guide if you're using the biel-tan warlord trait to give the re-roll to hit

I would try to get 1 warlock in the list for quicken. Having the ability to have one unit move twice, especially in such a slow list would be very helpful.

Thats a good point but the purpose of this army is to function more as a gun line than a strike force. But I am planning on creating another version with a more competitive outlook (aka more speed and less sillyness).
