Corsairs don't have an HQ choice. Furthermore, the rules for Ynnari were errata'd so you take them in a Craftworld, Dark Eldar, or Harlequin army.

RIP Corsairs. You are not actually legal anymore.

This is whu we need to push for these rules to stay as a beta. Last time tournaments were using the beta rules when they shouldn't have! Everyone needs to push fpr these rules to stay in test games until GW makes them official.

Nope. They can hang out on the shelf with all the admech stuff that has no rules. Forgeworld is too busy making new space marines.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I mean, a handful of FW units now not being easily playable doesn't seem like much of a price to pay. Certainly this doesn't seem like a compelling reason to not use these rules for tournaments.

To be fair they were dead in the water anyway, at least until FW drops a new imperial armor*. I don't consider myself a min-maxer by any means, but the basic corsairs make storm guardians look effective. They are still usable in non-matched play at least (..... yay?).

* This is coming from someone in the early stages of converting up a corsair army, rules or no rules
